It turns out that the total length of the freed coast (perhaps not everywhere) in the two countries is more than 2000 km, taking into account the waterless coasts west of Punta del Este. This is a huge distance, and it is doubtful that those several factors that Rossio Camayo spoke about would combine in such a large space. Even after 10 days, there was no information about the return of water, although it is noted that in some places the water has risen, but still far from the usual level.
Not without reason, many of the locals took these strange retreats of water for 96 hours as apocalyptic omens of the coming inevitable severe storms and tsunamis, cyclones and tornadoes.
