Psekups is the river on which stands the Hot Key. It originates in the Caucasus Mountains and is a left tributary of the Kuban. In places where hydrogen sulfide sources flow into it, it has a characteristic color and smell.

Next is the main building of the sanatorium, and opposite it is the Drinking Gallery. Entrance to the drinking springs of the Goryachiy Klyuch is free, but if you do not have a mug with you, you will have to buy a glass. Rock Cockerel

Returning to the main route, we climbed the Petushki rock. From the bridge, the cliff looks steep and high. In fact, the route to the rock is very simple. Even a child can master it, and a gazebo is installed on the rock itself so that you can sit and admire the local beauties. Steps lead to the rock, and the observation deck is equipped with railings for safety, in order to avoid accidents, do not climb over the fences.

The rock has a second name - the Rock of Salvation, and if everything is quite clear with the name Cockerel, in appearance the rock resembles a cock's comb, then one of the legends with which the Caucasus is so filled and which can be heard without exaggeration about every waterfall, mountain and gorge of the Caucasian ridges.

Then the trail goes deeper into the forest, but the park turned out to be very small, so don't be afraid to get lost or tired.

Dante's Gorge

We go to the platform from which you can see the Dantovo Gorge, this is another attraction of the route. Going down the hill we find ourselves in a narrow gorge between the hills. It is notable for the fact that the stone walls of the hills converge very close in places. And the limestone rock allows you to leave traces of your stay in the gorge. A convenient route with railings, decking and stairs has been laid along the gorge. The route is really short, so don't rush too much.

The gorge ends with a clearing on which the Iberian chapel is located, part of the chapel is located in the grotto, around which the outer part of the chapel was completed. Opposite it is a monument to the founders of the resort. In the same clearing, a little aside and in the shade is the source of St. Panteleimon. From here it is very close to the central part of the park. Thus, we were able to walk around the entire park in just 3 hours, all that remained was to eat and walk along the pedestrian alley of the city.

As for food in Goryachiy Klyuch. All holiday-goers eat in the canteens of their sanatoriums. You can also use this option if you wish. To do this, you need to go to the central building and purchase a ticket for a one-time meal. It comes out to about 500 rubles per person. But to eat indoors, when the street smells of pines, we considered it inappropriate and went to look for an open cafe. There are not as many catering establishments here as it could be, but you will not stay hungry and you will definitely find something. We found a not very nice-looking, but very pleasant-tasting establishment.

Having pampered our taste buds with a kebab, we went to walk the rest of the time before the train to Lenin pedestrian street, this is the central street that smoothly turns into the main street of the park, the territory of the sanatorium and medical complex is highlighted by such a beautiful composition with a fountain.

It is less comfortable to walk on Lenin Street than in the resort park, it is very similar to an ordinary street.

On Lenin Street there are several monuments dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.

If you arrived in Goryachiy Klyuch not for 4-5 hours, like we did, but at least for 8-9, then you can take a trip to the Psechiako waterfall on the Maltsev Stream, and turn to the Mirror rock along the way. But this route will be more difficult. Its passage will require physical endurance, you will have to walk about 10 km, as well as the ability to navigate the terrain, or simply take a navigator or a local guide with you.
