The first visitors were welcomed by the head of the department, Vladimir Puchkov.
“We are opening the first All-Russian comprehensive museum and educational center, which will work all year round for everyone. It will be the first step in teaching young people the basics of life safety and introducing all citizens to the history and traditions of the rescue and fire service,” the minister said.
Vladimir Puchkov emphasized that teaching the population the basics of safety, primarily children and adolescents, is one of the main areas of work of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, since children must know how to help themselves and others, how to behave in a given situation.
“Starting today, similar large-scale educational work will start in all regions of Russia. It is important for us that the population is trained in all regions so that people know the basic rules of safe behavior,” the minister noted.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations presented the children - young rescuers who attended the opening - with wristwatches and berets. Vladimir Puchkov, event participants and park visitors got acquainted with the Center’s exhibitions and the work of interactive platforms.
The pavilions of the exhibition area housed samples of modern fire and rescue equipment in service with fire and rescue units, military rescue units, air rescue units and the State Inspectorate for Small Boats. The interior of the guard chief's office has been recreated.
A special platform has been created for children to practice practical activities. Psychologists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations conduct master classes, quizzes and other interactive activities for children.
