Local holidays in Crimea on a wild beach attract entire families with small children who come here for sea baths and air saturated with salts that are healing for the respiratory system. Considering the possible night wind, seasoned tourists It is recommended to pitch tents in the middle part of the spit, driving elongated (up to 50 cm) pegs into the sand.

Some spend a couple of days on the coast and go in search of new impressions and pictures. Others are happy to stay in one place for the entire vacation. It doesn’t matter what you choose: Crimea is so different that it can please everyone who comes here to relieve stress and relax or, conversely, to recharge with solar energy and raise their tone. The beautiful wild beaches described above only confirm this fact!

For some reason, vacationers go to Crimea mostly to the Southern or South-Eastern coast of Crimea - to visit Yalta, Alushta, Sudak. In general, in places promoted by advertising. Yes, maybe it was good there before. But now it's a dirty sea, high prices, terrible service and a lot of people. And people leave dissatisfied. But in Crimea there are still places with clean seas and beaches, where there is no body lying on the body plus heaps of empty beer bottles. Where waste is not dumped from a huge number of hotels and boarding houses built without complying with sanitary standards. There are still places where you don’t have to throw away crazy money for housing “ten minutes from the sea by minibus” and for the right to stay on a paid (5-30 UAH) beach with dirty sand and muddy water.

I’ll tell you about some of them where we visited as a family.

Stormy

Located behind Evpatoria. It’s easy to find the way there according to the signs - all the time straight from Evpatoria. The sea here is very clean, shallow, the beach is pleasant and sandy. Not far from the shore there is a strip of olive trees that create shade. This is where camping tourists settle down. It's good to relax here with small children. We camped there with friends. This is one of those places where the coast has not yet been completely built up by resourceful oligarchs and simply “new Ukrainians”, unlike most of the coast of the South Coast, where free beaches cannot be found during the day with fire. There is a museum called “Sea Curiosities”, which I highly recommend. It is especially useful for children to listen to a very interesting excursion and view the exhibits.

Mysovoye

The village is located a few kilometers from the Feodosia-Kerch highway (about 50 km). After Feodosia you need to go in the direction of Kerch, there will be a sign "Shchelkino". We turn left and pass the railway crossing. Shchelkino is also good, but Mysovoye resembles the end of the world. It is quiet and there are few people there - in contrast to the noisy Feodosian coast, filled with bodies. In Mysovoye you can set up a tent on an almost empty beach with white sand and wake up early in the morning to the laughter of seagulls and see a beautiful sunrise. Swim in the calm and warm Azov Sea in the morning. Walk along the shore and see lazy gobies in the water, crawling out to take a nap in the shallows, which you can catch with your bare hands. From Mysovoye you can bring a photograph of a fish lying on your palm in the water - the fish has a brown color and green eyes...

Sea of ​​Azov, however, it is shallow, but the depth still begins about 50 meters from the shore. And the water here is not clear, like in Storm, but rather cloudy. But this sea is beautiful! We were lucky, and early in the morning we saw a medium-sized fish trustingly splashing in the water, as if organizing a demonstration swim along the shore before our eyes - almost next to us! Honestly, this is a land of some kind of unafraid fish...

But the seagulls are apparently frightened: there are a lot of them, but they immediately fly off to another place as soon as a person approaches.

Koktebel

We liked it less here. Yes, it’s still the same Koktebel, and the Voloshinsky house is here, and the sun, and the sea, and many cafes with delicious food included (which is worth one yantik - baked cheburek with meat and cheese). And the Crimean wines for which this place is famous: at the entrance to Koktebel there is an arch with the inscription “Cognac Country”. Probably the same one, but not the same one...

On the fence made of slabs that encloses the beach there are all poems and rhymes:

In general, wine, sea, sun, hippies, yuppies and so on... This is not surprising, after all, the place has a literary and poetic history, so this history is at every step. In quatrains that give a special flavor to this place.

The sea was an unpleasant surprise. Runoff from the boarding houses runs straight into the waves in rivulets - muddy rivulets of a yellowish color. Because they set up boarding houses, but there is nowhere to dump the waste, only into the sea - they say, it’s a self-cleaning system. But this system simply does not have time to clean itself...

Now about the best things in Koktebel. There is a mountain not far from the beach. Above it are multi-colored wings of paragliders. Climb up on a paraglider with an instructor - 200 hryvnia. The event is completely worth its cost! It takes your breath away when the wind carries you over the picturesque mountain-sea landscape, over the tent camp; The paraglider gains higher and higher altitude. Most of all I liked the pirouettes from side to side, first over the sea, then over the land, zigzag, as if in a fall; in fact, the wind flow prevents the wing from falling to the ground - and we float in the air again. All the surroundings of Koktebel are visible - dark, yellow-orange mountains and the blue sea. Van Gogh would die of happiness if he saw this, because it was he who wrote the words “There is no blue without orange”... In general, pure impressionism.

Paragliding is something that is really worth trying in Koktebel! And the sea... The sea there is "double". Perhaps you can take a boat excursion and swim in the depths, near the Golden Gate. There is a really clean sea there!

Laspi-Batiliman

We leave Simferopol in the morning at 9 o'clock. Two hours - and we are on the Sevastopol-Yalta highway, we drove to the Baydarsky Pass, the church and the tunnel and see the sign "Laspi". We slowly descend by car (straight). First there is an asphalt road, then a dirt road; The descent is quite narrow and you have to drive carefully, fearing an oncoming car. Along the descent to the base of the Batiliman sanatorium, there are areas where two cars cannot pass each other. The security guard gets his 15 hryvnia, we put the car in the parking lot. We go down to the sea along the steps, cross a wooden bridge - and finally we are on the beach. It’s quite crowded here, but if you go a little further, behind the pier, around the pile of stones, the beach there is no worse, and there are very few people. True, there is not sand here, but sea pebbles, and you must enter the water carefully - the bottom is rocky. The water is clear, there are fish, it’s interesting to snorkel, and if you have an underwater camera, the pictures can come out very unusual. If you're lucky, you might even spot a crab here.

It's fun to jump from the pier into the refreshing blue depths, swim to a stone 3 meters high (or rather a small rock), which you can climb on the right, pulling yourself up on your hands, and jump from it, as if from a small tower. And if you want, you can move from the beach further through the stone blockage to the beach of the Laspi recreation center. There is the same clean sea, there is a campsite. This is one of the cleanest places on the South Coast.

From Simferopol along the highway to Feodosia. After Feodosia, turn left onto Lenino. Drive through Lenino and before reaching Shchelkino, there is a sign “Buhta Shirokaya”. A great place for a quiet, leisurely camping holiday. There is a warm Azov Sea and a sandy beach. There aren't many people, since it's still a long way to go. This bay has very beautiful rock formations and small grottoes. Photos against their background turn out very successful.

In general, in the vicinity of Lenino and Shchelkino there are a lot of such quiet places for savages to relax.

General's beaches

We visited this marvelous corner of nature only once, but we want to come back again and again. Of course, it’s a bit far from Simferopol, where we live. You first need to get to Kerch, and then another forty kilometers. A strip of beaches, called general's, stretches along the Azov coast from the village of Kurortnoye.

The road to these beaches is, frankly, bad. Steep descents, climbs, dirt roads - it’s better not to drive there in a foreign car with low ground clearance.

Azov is not at all like Azov here. Rocks, sand, salty, gentle transparent (!) and not shallow sea.

If only it weren't so far and not so bad roads- if only we could go here! Simply paradise on Crimean land!

Evpatoria

Of the beaches in Evpatoria, I can only recommend the sandy one New beach, as well as a beach near the Moinaki estuary lake. The rest of the beaches in the city itself are not very comfortable, rocky and the water is not very clean. Well, this is for my “local” spoiled taste.

It's better to swim on the coast before Yevpatoriya, not far from the Banana Republic water park. The beach there is good and the sea is mostly clean, except during periods of storms. You can relax here with a tent, but restful sleep may be slightly disturbed by the noisy Simferopol-Evpatoria highway, located 100 meters from the beach. It is very lively even at night - it has been checked: the lights of passing cars flash through the tarpaulin of the tent all night long.

There is a very good one in Yevpatoria a tourist route for lovers of antiquity - Little Jerusalem. It includes 7 sightseeing objects in the old part of the city: the Khan-Jami Mosque, the Church of St. Nicholas, the Gezlev Gate (they are also called the “gate of the wood market”, since in ancient times there was a wood market behind them), a synagogue, Tekiye Dervishes, Karaite kenas and the Armenian Church. It is best to purchase tickets for the walking tour in the Gezlev Gate building, which is located on Karaimskaya Street.

Alushta

There are many attractions in little Alushta. I’ll write about what we especially liked.

The best place to swim is “on the rocks,” as the locals say. This beach is located at the very end of the embankment, about 15-20 minutes on foot from the Professor's Corner. There is a pier from which you can jump for fun. But the sea is not always clean.

I was very impressed by the Alushta museums - the architect Beketov and the writer Ivan Shmelev. They are worth visiting, even if you didn’t know anything about these people until that moment.

The Sergeev-Tsensky Museum also deserves attention, but we haven’t gotten to it yet - we left it for next time.

It’s a must to book a tour at the Beketov Museum! An elderly woman with surprisingly young eyes told us the whole history of the Beketov family and this house-museum, which has stood for more than 150 years among cypress trees. The tour begins from a beautiful carved veranda. It’s hot on the southern part of the veranda, and you move to its western part and immediately feel the breeze that Chatyr-Dag Mountain brings to Alushta.

"Aluston" translated means "draft". Here, in this museum, we learned that Alushta, it turns out, is named after a draft! And so small and significant, dear to the heart For a true Crimean, discoveries awaited us at every step!

The Shmelev Museum is no less interesting. In the first half of the day they usually receive individual visitors, and after lunch it is time to receive groups. We arrived late, successfully joined the group, and were very pleased with the guide. Yes, the workers of these two museums are real Guardians with a capital C! Their stories are truly captivating. And tickets to museums cost nothing: 10 hryvnia per person for entry, plus the same 10 for an excursion.

Where is the best place to relax in Crimea? There is no clear answer to this question. After all, the nature of the peninsula is very diverse, and some are only interested in a beach holiday, some want to go hiking, and others want to see historical sights.

West Coast

Olenevka- a calm village in the very western point peninsula near Cape Tarkhankut. It is here that one of the best beaches in Crimea is located with white sand and clear water. That’s why Olenevka is a good place to relax with children and for those who want to feel like they’re at grandma’s in the village, but by the sea :)

Evpatoria is the most famous resort on the West Coast. An entire area of ​​the city is occupied by sanatoriums and children's health camps, some of which appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. The city has an oriental atmosphere, there is a large beautiful mosque, an old city with colorful streets. also sandy, popular among vacationers with children.

There are still many places where you can relax on the west coast. These are small villages, the most famous of which are: Chernomorskoye, Popovka, Nikolaevka, Peschanoye, Kacha.

Sevastopol- hero city, city of sailors, St. Petersburg on the warm sea. Just a charming place in the hills with beautiful old buildings and squares. It is clear that a lot of money is being invested in Sevastopol, here good roads, mowed lawns, paved sidewalks, everything is new - a big contrast with other cities of Crimea.

Sevastopol should not be considered as a base for beach holiday(there are beaches, but not the best), but it’s definitely worth coming for a day or two to see the center, Tauride Chersonesos, the Defense of Sevastopol Museum and other places.

Fiolent- a cape and a village of the same name located nearby. Fiolent is a suburb of Sevastopol, located just 15 km from the city. The place is best known for its monastery and good pebble beach.

Balaclava- famous bay and base submarines during Soviet times. A huge number of moored yachts give Balaklava a special flavor and set it apart from other small villages/towns on the South Coast. There is also a beach here, but vacationers go by boat to nearby ones that are inaccessible.

Foros- the southernmost populated point of the Crimean Peninsula, also known for the proximity of the state dacha (Gorbachev’s dacha) and the Resurrection Church, rising on the mountain nearby.

Zander— the town is located in a cozy bay, and the main attraction is the Genoese fortress. It is not as picturesque here as in the vicinity of Yalta, the mountains are lower and rather bald, but it has its own beauty. Sudak is considered a youth resort, nightlife and there are plenty of discos here.

New World- a wonderful quiet and peaceful place not far from Sudak, you can get there by bus for 14 rubles and 20 minutes. It is here that the champagne wine factory and the Golitsyn trail are located, along which it is pleasant to walk along the sea itself.

Koktebel— perhaps this is the place with the most creative atmosphere in Crimea. This village was chosen by poets, writers, artists, musicians, esotericists of all stripes. Located in a picturesque location next to the rocky mountains and in a cozy bay. The beaches are pebble.

Feodosia- a large city on the eastern coast of Crimea. There are many parks in Feodosia, there is its own Genoese fortress, an art gallery of Aivazovsky, several interesting temples. The beaches are sandy and pebble.
