Tri Trang beach reviews. Overview of Tri Trang beach near Patong. Coast and natural features

Hello everybody! I rested in this hotel in March-April 2017. In a word - satisfied! There are a lot of reviews about Phuket and the hotel in particular, so I’ll just add a few of my impressions. 1). Hotel. The rooms are good, clean and comfortable. The main reason we are going to Thailand is the sea. Here you almost jump into it from the balcony. This is the main advantage of the hotel. But this is the downside, civilization is far away. Patong and all entertainment can only be reached by transport. But! A bus runs there and back 2 times a day free of charge from the hotel (and a couple of times for a fee - 50 baht). You can just go shopping in the thick of it and come back, so the morning and evening beaches remain with us. But it’s so good, quiet and calm! The staff is polite and attentive. Russian speaking hotel guide in stock. Once they forgot to put a towel when cleaning the room. I told the reception - they brought it quickly. If he cracked a glass, they didn't deduct any damages for breaking dishes when moving out. Yes, what’s good is that they don’t take a deposit upon check-in! 2). I liked the food (I only took breakfast). Very varied, every morning a couple of soups (spicy and regular), potatoes-rice-noodles-omelet-fried eggs-salads-vegetables-herbs. Bananas-watermelons-pineapples. For those who complain about scarcity, the hotel will not serve mangoes and durians. And in general, anyone who criticizes nutrition is a disingenuous person. At home for breakfast, not even a tenth of this happens. Maybe someone is eating in a cafe or the cook is cooking, he’s lying again, he’ll be resting somewhere else. 3). Currency exchange only in Patong. Don’t change at the airport or hotel, it’s not profitable. It’s best to go to exchange offices (exchangjah) and don’t run around the city looking for best rate exchange, the difference is very insignificant (well, will you gain 100 rubles from the entire exchange, would you go to the ends of the earth for this?). 4). Features of rest. The last time I was in Thailand was 4 years ago. Prices have changed a lot! It was 1 ruble = 1 baht, now it’s 2 to 1. And prices themselves have risen noticeably. So forget about Thailand as a budget vacation. I was left with the impression that vacationing in Europe is no longer particularly expensive. So we go only for exotic things. Shopping is also not worth it, some branded items are no cheaper than in Russia (more precisely, I’m talking about Moscow). You can buy latex pillows, towels, fruits, souvenirs. That's it. 5). Bike rental. Worth it if you want to move freely. But the police catch you all the time! I drove without a category A license, the fine is 500 baht, but you drive further the whole day (they give something like an indulgence letter, and other traffic cops let you go). Yes, and you shouldn’t conflict with the locals, the police will be on their side in any case. Customs! You can read about other moments of relaxation in other comments. Once again - I’m happy with both the hotel and the vacation! Good luck to you!

The entrance to the sea is gentle, the beach is clean, the water is clear. In fact, the name of the beach translates as “crystal clear”. The only inconvenience will be rocks in the sea in some areas. Therefore, we recommend swimming in special shoes or flip-flops.

The northern part of the beach, closest to Patong, is more suitable for swimming.

Due to its favorable location, there are almost no waves here; in any case, they are always smaller than in Patong and others.

How to get there

The beach is only 2.5 km south of and separated from it by a hill, so it is not possible to walk along the coast. If you wish, you can walk from the south of Patong in 40-50 minutes, but you need to understand that the road goes up and down, so count on your strength in the heat.

You can take a taxi for 300 baht from Patong and 400 baht from.

You can rent a kayak from nearby beaches and paddle across the water.

To get to Tri Trang Beach with your own transport, drive along the coast. Then at the fork you turn left and go up the mountain. Next there will be a sign to the Tri Trang Hotel Beach Resort. Drive in that direction and you end up on the beach.

Hotels

There are not many hotels on Tri Trang beach and near it yet. But construction is underway and more and more housing offers are appearing right on the 1st line.

This significantly distinguishes the beach from Patong, where there is a road near the coast and housing is located on the 2nd line.

The best hotels on Tri Trang Beach.

Tri Trang Beach Resort 4* is a hotel complex of 8 buildings located on the coast of Phuket island in the Andaman Sea. It was built on a small hill in 2006, and in 2016 a major renovation was carried out here. The real jungle begins right behind the hotel. Due to its favorable location, those who dream of privacy and love to swim come here. The beaches here are much better than on the mainland, the water is very clear, which is why divers love the island.

Children can swim in a small pool and watch exotic fish on the beach. For the little ones, employees will bring a crib and a high chair for free.

The area is framed by palm trees and flowering shrubs. On the platforms between the buildings there are 3 swimming pools, near which there are sun loungers. The buildings are decorated with decorative stucco, sculptures and funny figures are installed everywhere. sea creatures. Mostly Russians and Europeans come here. Sometimes the hotel hosts conferences. There is a currency exchange office and a massage parlor on site.

Rooms

1 of 6

The difference between the complex and many other hotels in Thailand is the absence of a deposit upon check-in. The windows of all rooms overlook the sea in buildings No. 1, 8, 6 and 5, although in the fifth building it is not visible on the first floors. The worst view is in the four-story building No. 4, whose windows overlook the wall and houses in the area. On their birthday, tourists will receive a compliment from the hotel - a basket of tropical fruits.

In rooms with a veranda there is no place to dry washed clothes. According to tourists, there is no convenient place to tie a rope. In the bunk rooms of the first building, stone stairs lead to the second floor, so parents need to supervise their children so that they do not fall. On the ground floor there is a veranda with a sun lounger and a table.

Guests note the good interior design, as well as the presence of a free safe and TV with Russian channels. Check-in usually occurs at 14.00; vacationers can choose from several accommodation options:

  • economy rooms (some have no windows, but have a balcony with a view of the fence and neighboring buildings);
  • standards (mountains and the area behind the hotel are visible);
  • superior suites with sea and beach views;
  • deluxe suites (capacity - up to 6 people);
  • junior suites (up to 3 people).

Most standard and eco-rooms are designed for 3 people with the possibility of adding one more bed. There are also connecting rooms of these categories in the fourth building. Check-in occurs quickly even with a large influx of tourists. Modern elevators operate completely silently. Air conditioners are so powerful that most people prefer to turn them on at minimum airflow.

The furniture is wooden, in traditional Thai style, and there are ceramic tiles on the floor. There is a minibar, kettle and hairdryer. Maids bring tea, coffee and shower amenities daily. Wet cleaning is done thoroughly, swans are made from towels. Also, each vacationer is provided with 1-2 bottles of water.

There are tables and chairs on the terrace; many people prefer to drink tea there, admiring the ebb and flow of the sea. Deluxe suites also include a desk, an extra chair and a sofa. Most rooms have walk-in showers, but the Deluxe and Junior categories have bathtubs. An iron is available upon request at the reception. It is possible to connect a flash drive to the TV to watch movies you brought with you. Wi-Fi is free.

At the main restaurant of Tri Trang Beach Resort, chefs prepare Thai and European cuisine. In terms of variety, the menu does not quite correspond to a four-star complex. There is a bar in the lobby where you can order cocktails. Since there are few cafes nearby, and many families with children vacation in the complex, guests are offered two food concepts during the low season:

  1. breakfasts;
  2. half board (HB, with the possibility of replacing lunch with dinner).

In the morning they arrange Buffet, and during the day and evening you can order 3 dishes from the menu. During the high season, Full Board (three meals a day) and AI (all inclusive) options appear. Drinks must be paid extra.

In the mornings they serve:

  • omelettes;
  • fruits (pineapples, bananas and watermelons);
  • chicken and pork;
  • soups;
  • vegetables;
  • oatmeal;
  • puree;
  • salads;
  • pancakes and croissants.

Drinks include delicious coffee and tea. Vacationers buy water at the Family Mart supermarket, which is located nearby. If the family only paid for breakfast, it will be quite expensive to have lunch at a restaurant for an additional fee, so many people go to cafes or buy food in shops. Also, meals are usually included in the price of excursions from the tour operator. There is a cafe 800 m from the complex, and there is a pizzeria near the road. During low tide, tourists go to the cafe, which can be reached from the end of the beach, as well as to the restaurant in the shape of a ship.

Staff

Like everywhere else in Thailand, the employees are very smiling. There is a Russian-speaking manager to work with guests, who will tell you where you can rent bikes and what excursions are best to go on. The receptionists work very quickly, and the hotel tries to take into account complaints about the quality of cleaning. Sometimes guests have complaints about the work of waiters, who do not always cope with a large influx of guests.

Entertainment and animation

1 of 5

An active entertainment program is a rarity for Phuket and the whole country as a whole. But Tri Trang has both morning and evening activities.

In 2019, discos are held in the evenings or vacationers are invited to karaoke. Tourists can familiarize themselves with the program in the lobby. Musicians sometimes play in the restaurant.

There is more entertainment for adults than for children. Volleyball is played on the beach, and fitness and yoga classes are held regularly. The depth of the pools is 1.5 m, but children can swim in the shallow area (0.4 m).

There is also the opportunity to work out in the gym and book a massage, but prices are more expensive than in Patong. There are table tennis tables and a darts court on site. You will need to pay to play billiards.

There are movie nights on Mondays and beach parties on Saturdays.

Beach

The hotel has private beach, towels are provided free of charge at the reception. There are not always enough sunbeds for all vacationers; another complex is being built nearby. The bottom is rocky and there are corals, so children need to take special shoes. The bay is ideal for kids as there are never big waves. Low tide begins at about 3 o'clock, but the sea rarely goes far. In 5 minutes motor boat you can swim to big beach Patong. For adults, the sea in the bay may seem too shallow.

It is best to swim in the morning during high tide; after lunch it becomes so shallow that the water barely reaches your knees. In the evenings, you can take a walk around the bay with your children and look at sea crabs and corals.

In low season this beach will be the best option for those who come to relax with children. There is white sand on the shore, the entrance is very convenient. You can relax in the shade of palm trees. Biting fish, stingrays and jellyfish are sometimes found in the water. Schools of colorful small fish also swim close to the shore, so during high tide some tourists go snorkeling.

Location and surroundings

1 of 4

Although the road from central airport The island takes only an hour, many tour operators prefer to work with charters that fly into Krabi and then take guests on a transfer. The travel time is about 3.5 hours. Delivery of guests to hotel is considered a priority.

The tourist area in the Patong area is about 4 km away, you can get there in 10 minutes. There are practically no permanent cafes nearby, and a fruit shop is rarely open. The road to the Family Mart stores is not very convenient; you can walk to the nearest one in 10–15 minutes (to the right), and to the further one in 25. You will have to walk along hilly terrain. Water in a hotel complex is much more expensive.

Free buses go to the city 2 times a day, stopping at shopping center. You can also travel 2 more times with a discount.

Tourists speak positively about the Four Pearls excursion, during which you can take photos in picturesque bays, canoe in rocky caves and visit a gypsy village where very cheap seafood is sold.

Among amateurs hiking A popular excursion is the Path of the Avatar through the Khao Lak Nature Reserve. Many people choose it to shoot a video where a popular film was once filmed. Co observation deck opens beautiful view to the bay. Also popular are trips to Cheow Lan Lake and sightseeing tours around the island. In Patong, you can go shopping at Big C or visit the famous Hard Rock Cafe, where exhibits related to the KISS group are kept.

Review of the Tri Trang Beach Resort in Phuket. Pros and cons | Tri Trang Beach Resort Phuket Patong

One of best beaches in Phuket is Tri Trang Beach. This is a picturesque, calm and very pleasant place. The beach itself is small; visitors to the Tri Trang Beach Resort relax here, quite a lot of Russians. Tri Trang Beach is not very popular among tourists; many do not know about it at all, despite the fact that it is located very close to the most famous and crowded one.

Coastline Tri Trang beach stretches for 700 meters, the descent into the sea is sandy and smooth, the sand on the beach is light yellow. The sea is clean with a turquoise tint. This beach is ideal for families with small children, who can easily frolic in the shallow waters. Tri Trang Beach can boast of its cleanliness, since it is a hotel area, and hotel workers carefully monitor it. On the shore there are sun loungers with umbrellas that can be rented for 100 baht.

Tri Trang Beach is located in a secluded bay, so there are no waves here throughout the year. So you can relax on this beach even during the rainy season. Also, unlike many, Tri Trang is removed from the roadway, which means that the noise of cars will not interfere with your vacation. The only downside to this beach is the low tides. The trouble is that the water goes very far and swimming becomes uncomfortable.

And Tri Trang beach is ideal for photo shoots, thanks to its beautiful nature and large stones standing in the north of the beach. You can take great photos, show your imagination and have fun.

I really liked the beach. Calm, uncrowded and a nice place. If you decide to take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, then go to Tri Trang Beach. Complete relaxation is guaranteed to you.

Beach activities

Despite the fact that Tri Trang Beach is considered calm and quiet place, there are many here beach activities. You can ride jet skis, water skis, boats, take a breeze on a banana boat, fly on a parachute, and swim with a mask. On the beach you can enjoy a relaxing massage and heal your body. There is also a volleyball court on the beach, where you can get together with a fun group and have a great game.

And if these entertainments do not seem enough to you, then a five-minute drive away is the noisiest and most party place, where you can have fun all day long.

Cafes and shops on the beach

On Tri Trang beach you will not meet merchants; no one will offer you to buy a watch, swimsuit or ice cream. However, there are cafes and restaurants on the beach where you can order Thai and European cuisine. The most popular place is Goodview Restaurant. It is loved for its delicious food, pleasant music and the opportunity to admire beautiful natural landscapes while eating. And in the evening, candles start burning everywhere in the restaurant, which makes this place ideal for a romantic dinner with your loved one.

Hotels on the beach

There are several comfortable hotels on Tri Trang Beach, the most famous of which is the four-star Tri Trang Beach Resort with beautiful sea views and a swimming pool. More a budget option two-star hotel - Aersa Paradise. And for those who like hotels with unusual design, welcome to the At Zea Hotel.

And if you want to find a suitable hotel yourself, I recommend using the Hotellook service, it looks for options on different booking sites, which will allow you to save up to 60% of the cost on your stay.

How to get there?

To reach Tri Trang Beach, take Thawewong Road to the Tri Trang Beach Resort. There is a parking lot near the hotel where you can leave your car or bike for a fee. The main entrance to the beach is also located here. And if you go to the beach on foot and don’t need parking, you can go through any hole in the fence. From Patong to Tri Trang it takes about 20 minutes on foot. If it’s not too hot and you like hiking, you’ll be able to navigate the road without difficulty.
