Airbus A330 200 Turkish Airlines diagram. Cabin layout and best seats on board Aeroflot A330. Which seats to choose on the A332 and A333 Aeroflot

The Airbus A330-300 is the largest aircraft in the A330 series. It can be considered a relatively new model. The Airbus A330-300 is a wide-body aircraft equipped with two engines. It has two aisles between the rows of seats in the cabin. Such aircraft are designed for long-distance flights, so the cabin is equipped in such a way that it is comfortable for all passengers. For example, each seat has a built-in display with an entertainment system. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. The aircraft has a high capacity, but variants of this model vary in the number of seats (the current plan of the airliner is on the official Aeroflot website).

The A330-300 model has three configurations:

  • Single class (440 passengers on board);
  • Two-class (335 passengers on board);
  • Three-class (295 passengers on board).

From the point of view of seating arrangement, the difference between these variations is not too noticeable. The main difference is only in the number of rows of seats in business class.

Current layout of the cabin of the A330-300 aircraft of Aeroflot airlines

Business Class

Business class seats are located in the first six rows of the cabin. The seats are highly comfortable and can recline 180º, allowing you to sleep during a long flight. Business class is quite calm. Passengers flying business class receive food before economy class, their menu is more varied, and more drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) are offered. However, this also has its drawbacks. In the 1st row - this is close to the wardrobe, kitchen and toilets. But there is also an advantage here - there is a lot of legroom and the 1st row gets food first. The 5th and 6th rows can cause some discomfort due to their proximity to economy class, where there is a noisy atmosphere.

Economy class

Economy class on the Airbus A-330 300 is divided into 2 parts, between which there are toilets and emergency exits. The seats are arranged with eight seats in each row - two on the left, four in the middle and two on the right. The middle seats in almost all rows are moved slightly forward. Food on an airplane is served starting from the nose. Therefore, you need to take into account that the closer your seat is to the tail of the plane, the later your food will be served. There are some general things to keep in mind when flying economy class:

  • The seats are hard, and the distances between the seats and rows are quite narrow;
  • The food is tasty, but the menu selection is not as rich as in business class;
  • If you want to sleep during the flight, do not want to be distracted by neighbors and flight attendants and do not intend to get up often, then window seats are suitable for you. They are also good for those who like to look out the window during a flight;
  • Aisle seats are good because they are easy to get up from. This is very convenient if you need to go to the toilet often or if you are flying with a child and often have to leave him to relieve himself.

Choosing the best seat on an Aeroflot A330-300 aircraft

In business class, the arrangement of seats in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows is considered to be as comfortable as possible. They are calm, no one is distracted by extraneous noises, smells, etc.

But seats in some economy class rows require separate characteristics:

Row 11 is the first row in economy class. Its advantages and disadvantages are similar to the 29th row, from which the second economy class compartment begins. There is a lot of free space in front of the seats, which allows you to stretch your legs and allows tall people with long legs to sit comfortably. Another plus is that no one will recline the back of the chair, reducing the free space. In front of the side seats there is a wall on which there are large monitors broadcasting current information about the flight. They burn throughout the entire flight and can interfere. These walls also accommodate bassinets for small children, making these rows the best for those flying with babies. If you are annoyed by the screams of children in the immediate vicinity, it is better to choose another place. The peculiarity of this row is that the armrests of the chairs are motionless due to the tables built into them. A significant disadvantage is the proximity to the toilet, sounds of flushing, noise, conversations, queues of passengers.

The 15th row is characterized by the absence of portholes. For some this is an advantage, but for others it is a disadvantage. It depends on the personal preferences of the passenger.

Rows 12-26 are standard economy class seats without any significant disadvantages or advantages.

Bad places: how not to make a mistake

The seats in the 41st, 42nd and 43rd rows are considered not very comfortable. Starting from these rows, the plane begins to narrow, and the paired outboard seats are angled relative to the next row. Four chairs in the middle of the 41st row protrude slightly into the aisle, so people walking along the corridors can be distracting and in the way. From the 42nd row in the middle there are only 3 seats.

The 27th, 28th, 44th and 45th rows are considered completely uncomfortable. These seats are the last ones in the economy class compartments. They border the toilets (row 45 borders the kitchen and is between the toilets), which are located immediately behind them. You will be distracted by queues of passengers, noise, smells and flight attendants cruising. Because of the wall located at the back, the chair cannot be reclined. This is especially inconvenient on a long flight or if you have back problems. Moreover, in the last rows there are often drawers under the seats that make it difficult to stretch your legs.

Only accept these positions if all others are already taken. Otherwise, you are guaranteed an uncomfortable flight, fatigue and a spoiled mood.

  • Keep in mind that if you are flying with a child, a disabled person or an animal, Aeroflot will not sell you tickets for seats in front of the emergency exits. The same applies to pregnant women and very elderly people;
  • The safest seats are located at the rear of the plane.

Before purchasing a ticket, be sure to study the plane layout, choose a seat taking into account your individual preferences and try to book it as early as possible.

Aeroflot Airlines operates 5 Airbus A330-200 aircraft. These are the tail numbers: VP-BLX, VP-BLY, VQ-BBE, VQ-BBF, VQ-BBG. The aircraft were delivered to the company from the manufacturer's factory and were not operated by other airlines.

  • The VP-BLX aircraft made its first flight under the company's brand in November 2008.
  • The VP-BLY aircraft made its first flight under the company's brand in December 2008.
  • The VQ-BBE aircraft made its first flight under the company's brand in June 2009.
  • The VQ-BBF aircraft made its first flight under the company's brand in September 2009.
  • The VQ-BBG aircraft made its first flight under the company's brand in September 2009.
The aircraft comes in several configurations. There are three class variations (first, business and economy) and two class variations (business and economy). In the second case, the plane will carry slightly more passengers. In the diagram presented on the official Aeroflot website, the aircraft's capacity is 242 passengers. There are 34 seats in business class and 208 seats in economy class.

Let's move on to analyzing the best and worst places in this aircraft model.
Business Class
Row 1-6. Business class seats are traditionally located closer to the nose of the aircraft. These are the most comfortable and at the same time expensive places. The business class in the A330-200 is almost identical to the cabin in the A330-200, so we won’t repeat it.
We can only point out some shortcomings in specific rows. So seats G and H in row 5 are located very close to the passage to the kitchen and toilet. This means there will be a little more noise here than in the rest of the cabin.
Economy class
Row 11. There is no row in front, which is good, because no one will lean back on you. But due to the short distance to the partition, these places can be considered “standard +”. You can't stretch your legs very far. Plus, it's not very pleasant to look at the wall all the way.
Row 21, seats C, D, G, H. They are located on the edges of the passage, which is not good, since the toilets are very close. So there will be a lot of movement here. If you stretch your leg slightly into the aisle, you will definitely step on or run over with a food cart.
Row 22. Also not the best places to fly. The series is characterized by the same disadvantages as the 21st series. But since there are only a few meters left to the toilet, sitting here is even less comfortable. First of all, this applies to places C, D, G, H.
Row 23. The most undesirable places to fly. Behind the row are only toilets, which means a lot of noise, jostling, slamming doors, smells, etc. However, in this cabin layout, according to the Aeroflot scheme, the backs of the seats recline freely, despite the presence of a partition behind the row. So, distance allows. Let's consider this a small plus.
Row 24, seats A,C,H,K. On the Aeroflot diagram they are designated as seats of increased comfort (space +). There is only an emergency exit in front of it, which means there is room to stretch your legs. Also, the lack of a row in front means that no one will recline the seat back on you. But note that there are also disadvantages. There are toilets nearby, which means only one thing - noise, din and possible odors. No matter what, for these seats you will be asked for an additional 25 - 50 euros, depending on the distance of the flight.
Row 24, seats D, E, F, G. They cannot boast of the same advantages as places A, C, H, K in the same row. The reason for this is the presence of a septum right in front of the eyes. There probably isn't much legroom left here. In addition, there are toilets nearby. It’s good that at least no one will recline their chair. A very controversial series to fly.
Row 34-35. Here the narrowing of the fuselage begins, so there is one less seat in the rows. Seats C, D, G, H have the same disadvantages as row 21. They are located along the edges of the aisle a few meters from the toilets and kitchen.
Row 36 a complete analogue of row 23, with all its shortcomings.
Row 37- probably the worst places to fly on an Airbus A330-200. The biggest movement on the plane will be right next to this row of seats.

The Airbus A330-200 is part of the A330 family of wide-body twin-engine aircraft designed for short-haul to long-haul operations and has the shortest fuselage in its family. The length of the Airbus A330-200 is 58.82 meters, which is almost five meters shorter than the original Airbus A330-300.

The Airbus A330-200 development program began in November 1995 with the goal of creating competition for the American Boeing 767-300ER, as well as as a replacement for the Airbus A300-600R. The Airbus A330-200 modification was developed and built on the basis of the A330-300 aircraft. The wings, equipment and cockpit layout of these aircraft are identical. Under the wings on the pylons of the A330-200, two Rolls Royce Trent-700 or PW-4000 turbojet engines from the American company Pratt & Whitney are installed. The A330-200 also uses General Electric CF6-80E1 engines. Each of the installed engines has a power of up to 316 kN.

The Airbus A330-200 also had an increased fin size compared to the larger A330-300 and installed additional fuel tanks, which increased the flight range compared to the older version of the aircraft. The maximum take-off weight of the aircraft reaches 275 tons.

The Airbus A330-200 aircraft first took to the skies on August 13, 1997. A year later, after passing all ground and air tests, the airliner received its certificate.

From its very first release, the Airbus A330-200 began to sell well. And today, during its operation, this wide-body aircraft has proven itself well in the passenger air transportation market around the world, and has become the aircraft of choice for many airlines.

A330-200 operated by Aeroflot, Air China, Air France/KLM, Austrian Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Emirates, Etihad, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Qantas, Swiss International Air Lines, TAP Portugal, Vietnam Airlines, Yemenia and many other airlines.

Location and numbering of seats in the cabin, seating diagram on the Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The best and least comfortable seats on the plane

Rows 1 to 6- These are business class seats. There are very comfortable chairs here. They unfold almost 180 degrees. But close to places 1st and 4th rows there is a kitchen, which can cause a little concern during the flight. Before seats in row 5 There is a toilet, which can be a little inconvenient.

Places at 11 and 24ranks located in front of the partition. These are standard seats with plenty of knee room, but the monitors are located in the armrests. There are large monitors on the walls that do not turn off and, if you fly at night, interfere with sleep.

Seats in row 23. These are standard economy class seats. Their proximity to toilets makes them not very comfortable. The advantage of these seats is that the backs of the seats recline.

24 row. Places A,C,H,K. There are emergency exits in front of them and there is a lot of free space for your legs, you can get up from them without disturbing your neighbors, and they won’t bother you when they get up. The downside is the proximity of the toilets. Places D,E,F,G- on the wall in front of the seats there are fastenings for cradles. There are large monitors on the walls and they do not turn off at night.

Places at 33,34,35 and N. Starting from the 33rd row, the narrowing of the fuselage begins. This curvature can be a slight inconvenience, although it is almost invisible. Also, in some configurations, it happens that metal boxes with equipment are located under the seats in front, which reduces legroom.

34 row D and G. The chairs in these places “stick out” a little into the aisle. Sometimes they can get hit by food carts.

Row 35 D,F,G. The distance to the front row is slightly less than standard.

Extreme seats in rows 36 and 37- ordinary economy class seats, but adjacent to the toilets.

Flight performance

  • Maximum speed: 920 km/h
  • Cruising speed: 875 km/h
  • Flight range: 12500 km
  • Aircraft capacity: economy class – 406 passengers, economy/business – 293 passengers, economy/business/first class – 253 passengers

French President Francois Hollande makes his flights on an Airbus A330-200. Previously, to create comfortable conditions, 176 million euros were invested in it. Thanks to the investment, a separate large lounge, compartments for journalists and business experts, a small operating room, and special equipment for transmitting secret codes appeared on board the ship.

The Airbus A330 is a spacious aircraft that belongs to the group of wide-body airliners with two engines. The largest representative of this type is the Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Depending on the class of the cabin, the aircraft has different capacity. The airbus is used by various airlines: Tirkish Airlines, Ural Airlines, Aeroflot. The huge airliner is capable of transporting two hundred and ninety-five passengers in a three-class cabin, three hundred and thirty-five in a two-class cabin, and about four hundred in a single-class cabin.

Considering such modifications, it should be remembered that the configuration of the seating arrangement and the number of seats may vary in each different model. Each airline uses different seat configurations, but in principle they are similar and by looking at one of the models you can get an idea of the whole picture. The only thing that may differ is the number of seats in business class. Having analyzed the features of the location of seats on a given aircraft, we will be able to understand which seats can be taken only in extreme cases, and which are the best seats for the flight.

Business class seats on Airbus A330-300

From the first to the sixth row on the plane there are business class seats .

If we analyze these series, we can highlight the following advantages:

  • These are very comfortable chairs that recline almost to a horizontal position.
  • There is plenty of legroom, the rows are not very close to each other and even a tall person with long legs can sit comfortably in these rows.

But not all places are equally comfortable. There are also negative aspects to some series:

  • The first row is located as close as possible to the kitchen, toilet and wardrobe, this can cause not always pleasant odors and some anxiety if passengers walk
  • The last sixth row is close to the economy class and for this reason noise from the economy class cabin reaches here.

Standard Economy Class Seats

From the eleventh to the twenty-ninth row there are standard economy class seats. If you are flying with a small child, you must book seats that are suitable for child transportation. There are such devices in the eleventh and twenty-ninth rows.

The eleventh row starts Economy class, is its first row. For this reason, there are a number of advantages when purchasing tickets in this row:

  • you are deprived of a neighbor in front, and no one will recline the chair without taking into account your interests;
  • enough space to stretch your legs;
  • there will be a minimum of movement around you.

Do not buy seats in the fifteenth row if you prefer to contemplate the sky during the flight; there are no windows here.

The remaining seats, up to the twenty-ninth row, are completely identical and do not have any pronounced pros or cons. As for the twenty-ninth row, there are different opinions regarding the flight in the seats of this row.

The advantages of planting in this row are the following:

  • wide space in front, which allows you not to sit with your legs bent, but to sit comfortably;
  • You can leave your place or return to it without disturbing your neighbors, the passage here is so wide.

The disadvantages of sitting here during long flights are the following:

  • large information boards that are lit both day and night can interfere with rest or tire your eyes;
  • the toilets located nearby will not allow you to doze off peacefully from the endless walking of passengers and slamming doors;
  • unpleasant odors become travel companions.

Given that the flight lasts several hours, this is a very unpleasant moment that poisons the trip.

The most uncomfortable places to fly on an Airbus A330-300 aircraft

The most uncomfortable places are those with the following features:

  • fixed seats that cannot be reclined;
  • places in front of the walls, since in this case there is not enough space for a comfortable position of the legs;
  • places near the toilet.

On the Airbus A330-300, the most uncomfortable seats are the seats in the twenty-seventh, twenty-eighth, forty-fourth and forty-fifth rows. Some seats are permanently installed and it is impossible to change the position of the seat; some seats are located close to the toilets.

It is not advisable to book such seats if you want to fly in comfort and in a relaxed atmosphere.

Features of the seating arrangement

We talked about the comfort of each row, discussed the positive and negative aspects. Now consider the arrangement in a row. The location may be:

  • near the porthole;
  • near the aisle;
  • near the emergency exit;
  • in the middle of the row.

Everyone prefers one or another position of the chair. If you prefer to watch the clouds float by and do not have the habit of frequently changing your position, choose a seat near the window. If you often go to the toilet or are shy by nature and you find it difficult to disturb a neighbor, sit near the aisle and you will be able to move around without bothering anyone. Seats near the emergency passage are preferable for large and tall passengers who find it very uncomfortable to sit in regular seats.

Choosing a place is a very important step, since your mood, well-being and the journey itself depend on it. Don't be lazy to book your place in advance if possible. Choose a location based on these tips and personal preferences.

Happy and easy flights!
