The best beach holiday at the end of summer

The best place to lie on the beach or swim in the warm sea in August is on the shores of Bulgaria, Montenegro or Croatia. A tour to Greece - to the islands of Rhodes and Corfu will be interesting and successful: these islands have a large number of comfortable beaches. Moreover, if you prefer a quiet and relaxing type of holiday on the beach, then buy tours to Lindos and Colombia, and if you like a busy beach, you need to relax in Faliraki. Nature lovers will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Corfu. This is a real pearl of the Ionian Sea.

For lovers of various entertainments, we can advise you to go on holiday to Spain, especially to its northern part. It is at the end of summer that various types of holidays and all kinds of festivals take place here. In addition, this is where the famous sandy beaches are located.
French Riviera: Nice, St. Tropez, Cannes - the best holiday destination in August 2019. These resorts are famous for all the delights of nature: mild climate, sandy beaches, clean air. In addition, excursion and hotel infrastructure is developed here and various excursions to neighboring countries are organized.

Where else can beach lovers relax in August?

You can have a pleasant holiday by purchasing a tour to Italy. The best places to travel are the Ligurian and Venetian coasts. At these resorts on the last day of summer there is no longer any sweltering heat, and the clear waters of the sea are still quite warm. The magnificent landscapes of these areas will surprise you with their splendor and will be remembered for the rest of your life. If you want not only to relax, but also to improve your health, then the thermal springs of Ischia will help make your dream come true. If you are relaxing with a friendly and cheerful company, then a trip to the islands - Malta or Cyprus - is suitable for you. Here you will have a great holiday in one of the large number of clubs, discos, and dance floors. For those who are prescribed a mild climate, we can advise you to buy a trip to Turkey, namely on the Aegean coast: Marmaris, Bodrum, Kusadasi. In addition, the cost of tours here is lower than in the popular Antalya.

Vacations at the end of summer in Russia never lose their relevance - Sochi, Tuapse, Adler are familiar to everyone since the times of the USSR. There are many kilometers of beaches here, landscaped according to European standards. Anyone who wants to combine relaxation with treatment can enjoy excellent health in Matsesta, using local mineral waters for these purposes. There are hotels with a high level of service. Also popular tours in August can be tours to the balneological resorts of Karelia or the Moscow region.

Let's go to Scandinavia

We also recommend traveling to Scandinavian countries in August: this month is the warmest and most favorable here. In addition, it is during this period that there is an abundance of berries and mushrooms. Interesting options in August may include France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, and for those who like unusual tours, we can recommend a holiday in Chile, Cuba, Peru or Venezuela. You will be able to appreciate the famous beaches of Rio De Janeiro, admire the magnificent Iguazu Falls and the coral reefs of Cuba. In Mexico you will be introduced to the heritage of the Mayan Indians, in Peru - with the heritage of the ancient empire of this country. In Argentina, it will be interesting to watch the snow-capped volcanoes of the majestic mountains.

Holidays and festivals

Holiday lovers can be advised to go to Croatia, Canada, Thailand, Tunisia, India, Turkey at the end of summer to catch one of the local state or folk holidays.
Every year in the last month of summer, an international sand sculpture festival is held on the beach of the Belgian city of Zeebrugge. And in Brussels, the Flower Carpet festival takes place in the central square. We recommend going to the famous jazz festival in Eilat (Israel) at the end of the month. Only once a year (August 1st) you can visit the numerous Venetian forts in the vicinity of Venice, closed to the public, built in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Any holiday option can be selected, taking into account your wishes, on our website, using a special search engine that selects a tour based on several parameters. Only current prices, unlike other travel sites!

If you ask me where to go to the seaside in August 2019, I will answer directly: just not to Europe.
Why?

Because from July 20 to the end of August, all of progressive Europe (the one where the euro is, where there are good salaries and pensions) goes on vacation.

Where do Europeans go on their vacation with their hard-earned thousands of euros?
That's right: Europeans go on holiday at sea in Europe.

With our rubles, we have nothing to catch at European resorts in August.
Prices go up by 1.5 – 2 times.

But this is not the most important thing (for me personally).
In August, European seaside resorts are very crowded.

So in short: August is high season in Europe.
Holiday season.

If you ask me where I will be in August, I will answer twice:
– I’ll be on vacation in August.
– you need to go on vacation at sea in Europe before July 15 and after September 5.

A couple of years ago I went to Thailand in August.
That is, I was at sea in August.
And you know, I had a good rest:

– August is low season in Thailand. More precisely, the rainy season, but if there was any, it was at night.
– there weren’t many people.
- were cheap (now you can find them for 27 thousand rubles).
– the choice of hotels and villas is huge.

What else do you need for happiness?
When there are few tourists, there is more attention to the individual tourist.
When there are few tourists, bargaining is not so much necessary, but rather necessary.
When there are few tourists, it’s easier to breathe.
In addition, it is important for some to go on vacation in August without a visa.

Here is my report on preparing for a seaside holiday in August: with the necessary links to air tickets, villas, transfers and insurance.
– what to see near Phuket.

This is what happened in August in Phuket:

There is a lot of information about the island of Koh Lipe on my website (), but for some reason the August 2016 report is on the forum: .

Another place in Thailand where I liked the sea is the island of Ko Kood.
The island is located in the eastern part of Thailand on the border with Cambodia.
it’s not so easy - on crosswalks, but in August the weather there can be better than in the western part of Thailand.

– If there is an opportunity to postpone your vacation at sea from August to September, don’t think about it and postpone it.
– If this is not possible, then there is no need to go to Europe - it is better to relax at the dacha or go to where August is the low season.

Leave the azure sea of Greece for dessert - for September.
Personally, I get a lot of positive emotions after vacationing there in July.

But if you are going to Europe in August, do not write on the forum that the prices for renting a car are crazy, the house on the sea is booked, or there are not enough sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach.

August marks the peak of the tourist season, as all European resorts experience ideal holiday weather. It’s quite difficult to make a mistake with the weather, but you can overpay for a vacation quite significantly. Often tourists go to countries where it is very hot and too crowded, instead of choosing options that are more optimal in terms of price/quality ratio.

We conducted a small study, during which we identified the countries where Russian tourists plan to fly on vacation in 2019. Then we superimposed them on our own rating, which is based on an assessment of comfort, as well as weather and financial conditions. Here's what we got:

Here's where it would be worth going, according to our estimates:

Based on this data, we can identify countries where you should not fly:

  • Tunisia
  • Vietnam
  • Maldives

And, conversely, destinations that are undeservedly forgotten by tourists in August:

  • Croatia
  • Italy
  • Bulgaria

Beach holiday

Türkiye

Hot and clear weather is the perfect time for a beach holiday. Here you will find a huge selection of hotels for any budget, a fairly high level of service (if we are talking about 4-5* hotels) and good . The only things I can complain about are the too high daytime temperatures (up to +36), the gas chamber on excursions and the Turkish flavor.

Bulgaria

Bulgaria is attractive due to the low price tag for tours and the excellent price/quality ratio. Sandy beaches, warm sea, quality hotels, sunny weather and reasonable prices are what tourists need for families with children. In terms of weather conditions, everything is very similar to Sochi and Crimea, but Bulgarian resorts, unlike domestic ones, offer high-quality 4-5* hotels, where there will definitely be high-quality service, children's animation, a special menu and all-inclusive.

The only serious drawback is the weak excursion program, which is aimed at inexperienced tourists and children.

Crimea

Crimea continues to be imposed on television, but this does not make it any better or better. There really is everything for a good holiday: a therapeutic climate, sunny weather, warm sea, sights and excursions. But the mentality and financial crisis do not allow us to improve the service if the client goes and pays decent money. Therefore, when going to Crimea, we advise you to forget about claims about the service and enjoy the fact that you have the opportunity to go back 8-10 years in a time machine. But in August, the weather here is truly gorgeous, which will not ruin your vacation!

Greece

Greece seduces all tourists with its natural beauty, cuisine and beautiful excursions. The excursion program, however, is not always interesting and rich, but there is always the opportunity to choose the right direction. Those who want to travel a lot and actively should go to Crete, and those who love solitude should choose smaller islands (Kos, Corfu). The mild climate and short flight are popular with family travelers.

Cyprus

If you are only interested in a quality hotel, warm sea and sandy beach, the resorts of Cyprus are waiting for you with open arms. the island is quite sparse, but if you like to independently explore all sorts of antiquities, you will find something to do. Ancient temples, monasteries, Nicosia divided into two parts, Northern Cyprus (territory of Turkey) - all this can fill your leisure time. Hotel service is tailored for Germans and Englishmen, so the level of service is consistently high, as are hotel prices. The main disadvantage is the hot weather conditions. In August, the thermometer can approach the 40-degree mark.

Italy

In August, the beach resorts of Italy reach the peak of their attractiveness. Sandy beaches, water parks, amusement parks, pizzerias - everything you need for a carefree beach vacation. If you have extra free days, you can visit Venice, Rome or Florence.

Spain (Costa Brava, Costa Dorada)

The mild Mediterranean climate, European level of service, the richest excursion program in Europe, reasonable prices at resorts are the main reasons why Spanish resorts are in demand. In August, the water in the Balearic Sea reaches its highest temperature, so it is very difficult to find disadvantages in the Spanish direction. Perhaps the only reason holding back Russian tourists is the cost of package tours.

Tenerife

In August, Tenerife has comfortable, clear weather, and the water in the ocean warms up to almost maximum values. The island offers tourists ideal conditions for a beach holiday and the opportunity to independently organize their leisure time. Here you will find stunningly beautiful and diverse nature and a large number of attractions. The opportunity to see the killer whale show alone is worth visiting this island.

We recommend families with children aged 6 years and older to relax here, since at this age they already show interest in excursions, and there are a lot of them here and each one is more interesting than the other. The cost of package tours is off the charts due to the high cost of direct flights, but if you organize the trip yourself, you can find much cheaper options.

Exotic countries

If you like more exotic destinations, then you will have to be a little disappointed. Since August is not the best time to visit the Asian and Caribbean region.

The Asian region at the end of summer is very susceptible to monsoons and rains, so in most expensive resorts the weather is not stable. Relatively good weather in August can be found on and.

The countries of the Caribbean (Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba) are reminiscent of summer Turkey in climate, only there it is more humid and there is a high probability of typhoons and showers almost every day, which are replaced by very hot sun.

Everyone wants to have a good time on vacation at least once a year, it could be a beach resort or just a romantic trip to beautiful countries around the world. But it’s not all that simple, because a lot depends on where you’re going and when. It is better to go to some countries in June, and somewhere in the middle or at the end of summer. We'll see about it in August.

Beach, romance and green tourism

Of course, most people are going to go to the sea, and this is not surprising. After all, what could be better than basking on the warm sand under a light sea breeze. For many, this is the best vacation. As for August, this month you can travel to many countries, for example, Tunisia or Egypt, Turkey or Greece, as well as Bulgaria. The choice is very large. If you love so-called green tourism and everything connected with it, you can visit the eastern and western shores of Crimea. Here you can find not only a lot of lush greenery, but also a lot of interesting activities, such as diving or windsurfing. Active holidays can be alternated with romantic ones. At any resort there are cozy places where you can spend time with your loved one. In Crimea these are quiet shallow bays, and in Greece there are sandy beaches with emerald clear water, in which you can see a wide variety of exotic animals. Of course, you already know that August is considered the most favorable month. This is due to the fact that it is no longer so hot, and the water is warm enough to relax with children.

Where is the best place to relax in August, or TOP places

Many tourists would like to see a visual list to guide them when choosing a resort. Let's try to put it together. If you are an amateur, we strongly recommend visiting Greece in August. Montenegro will also please you at this time. As for Turkey, you will not see any difference between August and July; it will be equally hot here. In fourth place is rightfully Tunisia, which has become very popular in recent years. August is the “golden season” and there are a lot of vacationers. But you should pay attention to the fact that prices this month are very, very high. This is the so-called tourist peak. If you go to the same place, but in September, you can save up to 20% of money, although your vacation will no longer be so bright.

If you are a lover of various excursions and festivals, then you can travel around Europe endlessly. These can be a wide variety of countries, for example, Portugal or Italy, Greece or Spain. There really is something to see in these places. For example, you can visit various museums or get acquainted with the historical sights of cities. As for romance or holidays with children, Paris, Montenegro and the Scandinavian countries are considered ideal places. Of course, this is not a complete list, but you already know what to follow.

Holidays in Tunisia in August: advantages and disadvantages

This month the sea is incredibly warm. The temperature does not drop much at night, which makes it possible to swim in the sea around the clock. August is the imperial month for holidays in Tunisia. This month the nights are very long, so you can fully enjoy all the variety of entertainment. Here you will find not only a sandy beach with azure waters, but also festivals that are held throughout the holiday season. You can enjoy open-air performances by jazz artists, and classical music is also very much appreciated. Therefore, if you are not only a fan of basking on the beach, but also respect classical music, then be sure to come to this paradise.

During the daytime the temperature does not drop below 35 degrees Celsius, be prepared for this. You will definitely get a beautiful tan, but if you stay in the shade from 11 to 3 o’clock in the afternoon, you will be able to avoid sunstroke. Of course, holidays in Tunisia in August are famous for their nightlife. Restaurants, bars, strip shows and much more await you in this unforgettable place. Be sure to visit at least one sushi restaurant on the waterfront, where you will not only find a wide variety of dishes, but also very tasty food. As you can see, you won’t be bored in Tunisia, so pay attention to this destination.

Seaside vacation, or How to get everything from your vacation

There's nothing worse than a wasted vacation. That is why it is better to fly to the south, where you can always relax thoroughly. However, here you will definitely encounter a problem, which will be the complexity of choice. You can go to Bulgaria, Montenegro, Egypt or Turkey, because all these places guarantee you a good holiday. Be guided by your budget. If money is limited and you are looking for a budget trip, then go to Bulgaria without hesitation. It should be noted that seaside holidays in August are the most expensive, so be prepared for the fact that housing and food will be expensive. At this time, almost all popular resorts raise prices by an average of 15% -20%, as an influx of tourists is expected. Turkey will cost the most this month, while Greece, Montenegro and Egypt are slightly cheaper. Although a lot also depends on how and how much you are used to resting. As for Crimea, a seaside holiday here in August will be delightful, but again the price is steep. For the same money you can fly to Greece for a week and at the same time stay in a 3* hotel.

Let's go on holiday to Greece

In recent years, this direction has become extremely popular. This was influenced by several factors. Firstly, the prices here are reasonable. As noted above, they are almost similar to the Crimean ones, only the difference in the quality of recreation is big. In Greece, the service is at a higher level, and the beaches are much better looked after, even if they are free and do not belong to any of the hotels. It's worth coming here for the wonderful sea, which is crystal clear and incredibly warm at the end of summer. During the day it will be hot here, so at lunchtime it is better to stay in a hotel or somewhere in the shade.

The most popular islands are Rhodes, Corfu, etc. Lovers of beautiful nature will love Corfu, as this island simply surprises with its landscape and is one of the most beautiful places on the Ionian Sea. If you still don’t know where to go on vacation in August, then pay attention to the Filaraki resort - this is a paradise with lively beaches, the prices here are exactly the same as in Rhodes. You will be pleasantly surprised not only by the sea, but also by the many entertainment programs and sea activities that Greece offers you. You already know where to relax in August in this beautiful country, so let's move on.

Heading towards the shores of Turkey and Egypt

Let's start with Turkey. A lot has been said about this resort, both good and not so good. We will look at both the advantages and disadvantages of summer holidays in this country. I would like to say right away that in August you cannot count on any discounts. At this time there are a lot of tourists here, so prices for everything are extremely high. It is very hot here all the time; it is recommended not to swim at lunchtime, since even in the water you can easily burn. Remember to use sunscreen and try to stay out of the open sun as little as possible. In principle, here you can have a good rest in August. In Turkey you can also meet popular stars from the CIS countries.

As for Egypt, you can have a great time here too. In this country, in terms of service and entertainment, you will find almost the same as in Turkey, only the prices are 10% lower. There are a huge number of bars and restaurants along the coast, where tourists mostly hide in hot weather. The sea is very warm. At night the temperature does not drop below 25 degrees Celsius, so the water does not have time to cool down. Of course, it is quite possible to relax in Egypt in August and have an unforgettable time.

Budget holidays at the most popular resorts

What to do if you really want to go to the sea, but money is tight? In this case, you need clear cost control and savings. You already know where it is better to relax in August, but all these places are not the cheapest. However, with the right approach, you can spend very little and still have a great time. Bulgaria offers a relatively inexpensive holiday in August. The fact is that the resorts of this country are not yet fully developed, although over the past few years the situation has changed a lot. Since prices here are low, more and more tourists come every year. For about the same price, you can have a good time on the beaches of Croatia, although already in September it will be cool there, so this time is not suitable for swimming for children. Montenegro will cost tourists a little less. The climate in this country is mild and pleasant, there are a lot of tourists from Russia, and the people are hospitable. In principle, you can have an inexpensive holiday in Crimea in August. The average price for a room this month is about 600 rubles, a day renting an apartment will cost you about 1000 rubles, and a week spent in an average hotel room will cost you 7000-8000 rubles. Although it’s difficult to say something definitely here, since prices, for example, in Yalta and Feodosia are very different.

You don't have to spend your entire vacation on the beach. There are still a lot of interesting places that you definitely need to visit. Just look at the Scandinavian countries. The climate in this region at the end of summer is the most favorable for travel. You should definitely go to Germany and drink real beer there, and when you visit France, you can take a photo with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Of course, there are those who like to visit the most unusual tours. Such people should go to Chile, Cuba or Peru. The beaches of Rio de Janeiro are simply magnificent, so lovers of sea holidays should definitely come here. It is unlikely that you will find coral reefs anywhere that are as captivating as in Peru. As for beach holidays in countries such as Spain and Italy, it is better to go here in August, as this is the most favorable time for sand, mud and sunbathing. There is no need to exclude the exotic, since at the end of summer there are very attractive offers for trips to Iceland, Norway, etc. Here you can enjoy natural wonders such as waterfalls, volcanoes, glaciers and fjords. It is also recommended to visit Argentina, Venezuela, Ecuador and Chile. These countries actively conduct excursions to the cities of ancient civilizations, for example, the Mayans or the Incas. Now you see that it is impossible to say unequivocally where it is better to relax in August. Much depends on what you like best: the sea, exotic, history and architecture, educational excursions or extreme sports. In many cases, you can combine several types of holidays.

How to organize a family trip

Deciding where it’s best to vacation in August with your family is quite difficult. The fact is that there are many nuances here. If you are going on vacation at the sea with children, then it is advisable that the shore be shallow, with well-warmed water and clean sand. This will not only give the child a lot of emotions, but will also protect him from abrasions, bumps and dangerous swimming. Of course, we must not forget that the attention of parents is the most important point. If you are looking for a good beach resort for your child, then Sandy or Spain are recommended. Here you can not only enjoy the crystal clear sea waters, but also find a lot of entertainment and attractions that are located on the coastline.

For travelers, a tour of the Loire castles, which are located in France, is suitable. At the same time, you will be able to see other sights of this country. There is also something to see in the fears of Scandinavia, in particular in the northern part. There are entertainment programs and many educational and simply interesting excursions. If parents cannot go with their children, then the only right decision is to send their son or daughter to the camp. The choice of countries is quite large: Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Malta or Great Britain. It is quite possible that the child himself will want to choose the place where to go.

Conclusion

As you can see, spending time with family is not a problem at all. You can relax in Greece in August or visit Egypt. By the way, the Egyptians themselves usually do not vacation in their country at the end of summer. This is due to the fact that it is very hot here. For example, in Hurghada the temperature stays at 36 degrees, at the same time the water is heated to 28 degrees Celsius. Despite the fact that there is no rain at this time and the air is very dry and hot, the heat is relatively easy to bear, but you should not abuse the sun, as it is very easy to get sunstroke or get very burnt. You can also go on vacation to Cuba. At the end of summer there are quite a lot of tourists here, and there are also a lot of locals on the beach. Even though it rains here quite often in August, about 2 times a week, this does not spoil this resort at all.

Even if it’s already the end of August, you can find where to go on vacation without any problems. If you wish, take advantage of the offers of tour operators. Although now “savage” travel is becoming more and more popular. Here you get to the desired country yourself, live in tents, explore the surrounding area and just have a good time with your loved ones.

On August 29, the annual tomato battle - La Tomatina - will take place in the small town of Buñol. More than 40,000 people will gather in the main square in the morning and wait for the sound of water cannons signaling the start of the celebration. Trucks filled to capacity with tomatoes will enter the city at a signal - and the battle will begin.

For a whole hour, local residents and guests of the city will have fun, throwing tomatoes at each other, until the second signal sounds.

Small Buñol is located just an hour from Valencia, so many tourists prefer to stay there, combining a visit to Tomatina with a beach holiday on the Spanish coast.
