The Costa Adeje region in the north-west of Tenerife has changed markedly in recent years. Many hotel complexes and hotels have been built here, and the infrastructure and level of service now make it possible to receive tourists from all over Europe. People come to Adeje to enjoy the wonderful coastal climate and beach holidays.

Attractions of Adeje in the south of Tenerife

Adeje is a small town that can be walked around in an hour or two. It is located close to the tourist area, but there are not as many tourists here as one might expect. Buses run here from the resorts, so getting there is not difficult.

Old houses and narrow streets with cafes and locals sitting in them have been preserved here. And beautiful and often cloudy mountains rise above the city.

What attractions are there to see here?

A monastery built in 1697 has been preserved in Adeje. The first monastic hermitages appeared here in the 16th century. You can go to the ancient monastery of the Sign at the active monastery of St. Sebastian.

And in the center of Adeje, next to the city hall, there is the ancient and beautiful Church of St. Ursula. It was built in the 16th century. Entrance here is free, just don’t make noise so as not to distract the parishioners.

Another attraction of Adeje is the Casa Fuerte fortress. It began to be built back in 1553 to protect against the constant attacks of pirates that devastated the coast of Adeje. For three centuries, Casa Fuerte protected the town and played the role of a political and economic center. And in 1902 it was almost completely destroyed by a major fire. Many valuable historical artifacts were kept within the walls of the fortress. Only a small part was saved; they are exhibited in the Museum of the Canary Islands, located on the island of Gran Canaria.

Not far from Adeje is the famous Hell's Gorge hiking trail. Along a winding mountain path you can reach a small waterfall.

And on the other side of Adeje there are abandoned terraces where you can walk. It’s especially cool to do this at sunset. From here you have an excellent view of the coast and the tourist resorts of Costa Adeje and Las Americas.

Finding an apartment here to spend a vacation is difficult. Adeje is home to mostly locals and a lot of expats. The city is chosen by those who are thinking about moving to Tenerife. Here you can buy inexpensive real estate, compared to neighboring tourist areas. As usual, there is a large selection, from small studios to large apartments. But buying real estate in Spain is a separate conversation, very complex and has many nuances. Our video about agents' tricks and architects' mistakes will appear soon, be sure to watch it.

History of the area

The Adeje coast today is the most comfortable and respectable holiday destination in Tenerife. Let's tell you a few secrets.
The city of Adeje itself is located at an altitude of 300 m above sea level. Before the European conquest, this was the residence of the Guanche ruler. The last of the Guanches, at baptism received the name Don Diego de Adeje and made peace with the Spaniards.

In 1496, the process of colonization and division of lands began under the leadership of Alonso Fernando de Lugo. A small settlement was founded near the Adeje River, where the modern city is located.
In the 16th century, local residents built the first monastic hermitages. In 1530, there was already a monastery in Adeje and another in Taucho. Much later, the monasteries of the Mother of God of the Sign appeared in Enramada and Concepcion.

Sights of Costa Adeje:

  • Church of St. Ursula. Built in the 16th century.
  • The ancient monastery of the Sign at the active monastery of St. Sebastian.
  • Monastery of the Immaculate Conception.
  • Fortress of Casa Fuerte. In 1553, Pedro Fuete petitioned to begin the construction of a fortress to protect against the constant attacks of pirates that devastated the coast of Adeje. Construction began in 1556. For three centuries, Casa Fuerte played the role of a political, economic and social center. The fire of 1902 completely destroyed the fortress. The artifacts that survived the fire are kept in the Museum of the Canary Islands in Gran Canaria.
  • Caserio de Taucho. A rural settlement near Adeje, very interesting from a historical and ethnographic point of view. It is located at an altitude of 875 m between the De Ye and De la Fuente ravines.
  • Another attraction of Adeje is Morro Gruezo. A cluster of basalt pillars between the Agua and Fanabe ravines. Drawings are visible on their surface. Most of the rock art preserved in Tenerife is concentrated in the south of the island - these lands were actively used for pastures.

Holidays celebrated in the municipality of Adeje

  • St. Sebastian's Day: January 20th
In Enramada, the inhabitants had the first Appearance of Our Lady of the Holy Sign, patroness of Adeje. And here the first monastery was built in the south of Tenerife. Farmers and pastoralists have great reverence for St. Sebastian. Many miracles and cases of amazing healing of the sick are associated with the actions of this saint. Men and women from different countries flock to the ancient monastery in the hope of being cured of illnesses or getting their desires fulfilled.
  • Holy Week.
  • Feast of Corpus Christi.
  • Feasts of the Sign of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Ursula in October.
  • Feast of Our Lady of Fatima May 13
  • Feast of Our Lady of the Snows in the first week of July in Las Nieves
  • Feast of Our Lady of Koromot: last week of July in Taucho

The municipality of the Adeje region unites a group of ancient settlements: Tijoco, Taucho and Ifonche, where many examples of traditional Canarian architecture are collected.
To Tijoco and Taucho, located 900 m above sea level, there are routes TF-585 and TF-583, respectively, which are connected by TF-82 in the area of Adeje and Guia de Isora.
To get to Ifonche (1000 m above sea level), you need to turn off the road at and near Escalona.

The Costa Adeje resort on the island of Tenerife is a vacation for the sophisticated tourist!

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands. 3 million tourists visit it annually. The best of the island's resorts is Costa Adeje, famous for its luxury hotels.

Climate

The absence of strong winds and lush vegetation make the main resort of Tenerife a truly paradise. It has a warm and gentle climate, so you can meet vacationers there at any time of the year.

The lowest temperature recorded at the resort for the entire period of meteorological observations was +15 o C (in winter), and the average temperature in the “cold” season is +17 ... +21 o C. As for summer, in this season Costa Adeje has ideal weather for a beach holiday. On average, the thermometer shows +25 ... +30 o C.

It rains quite rarely on this part of the Tenerife coast, and the monthly precipitation rate barely reaches 7 mm. At the same time, due to the proximity of the ocean, the vegetation in Adaha always remains lush, and during the hot season, vacationers do not experience discomfort.

In addition, in this resort of Tenerife, the water temperature in December, July, August, September, November and October ranges from +21 ... +24.3 o C. There are few unfavorable months for a beach holiday on the island. In particular, it is not particularly comfortable there at the beginning of spring. However, even if you come to Tenerife in March, the minimum water temperature will be comfortable - about +18 o C.

Where is

The island of Tenerife is located in the Atlantic Ocean, 300 km from the coast of Africa and 1000 km from mainland Spain. Its area is 2,034.38 square meters. km, and the length of the coastline is 342 km. The resort of Adeje is located on the southwest coast of the island, next to the youth resort of Las Americas.

How to get there

For Russians, there is practically no alternative way to get to the Canaries by air to Tenerife.

Adeje is 20 km from the southern airport of the island. Several regular buses go there (No. 450, 111 and 343). Tourists arriving at the southern airport of the island can also easily get to Adeje. From there you can get to the resort by taking bus number 343 or changing in the city of Santa Cruz to route number 111.

Beaches

People usually go to Tenerife to splash in the gentle sea and lie on the clean sand.

In total, the resort has three beach areas:

  • "Playa de Fañabe".
  • "El Duque"
  • "Troy I" and "Troy II".

Of these, El Duque beach is distinguished by its developed infrastructure. There are changing rooms, toilets, showers, parking, telephone, bus stop, taxi rank, etc. Thanks to the gentle entrance to the sea, El Duque beach is especially preferred by families who come on vacation with small children.

Those who seek relative solitude choose a holiday on Playa de Fañabé. This beach is one of the most fashionable.

More democratic are "Troy I" and "Troy II". These are the oldest beaches in the resort, where you can find everything you need for relaxation. However, during the high season they are always crowded.

Almost all beaches are sandy, with local or imported desert sand.

Where to go

Like other resorts in Tenerife, Adeje offers its guests many leisure options. First of all, these are trips on boats and yachts, during which tourists can breathe in the sea air, admire the views of the island from the ocean and watch whales. Young people who come to the resort without children can be recommended to take part in a walking tour to the Hell's Gorge nature reserve or to other natural attractions of Adeje.

In order to have fun with the whole family, including children aged 6 years and older, it is worth visiting the famous water amusement park "Siam Park" (address: 38670 Costa Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, children's ticket costs 22 euros, adult - 32 euros). Not far from the resort is the Jungle Park Zoo, where you can observe many species of animals living in the Canary Islands.

Golf lovers will also not be bored in Tenerife, as there are many excellent courses for practicing this sport.

Nightlife

Those who have been to the Canary Islands will confirm that Adeje is one of the most peaceful places in Tenerife. However, this does not mean that tourists will be deprived of the opportunity to have fun in nightclubs and numerous discos. In nearby Puerto Colon, life is in full swing until the early hours, and Veronicas Street is home to many entertainment venues.

Excursions

For those who come to the best resort of Tenerife - Adeje - and want to diversify their holiday, various excursions are offered. For example, guests of the Canaries will be interested in visiting the island of La Gomera, where the ancient capital of the archipelago was located many centuries ago. San Sebastian has preserved many ancient buildings and places associated with the stay of Christopher Columbus himself. In addition, La Gomera is home to the Garajonay National Park.

Another interesting excursion is a trip to the San Miguel Castle. Costume knight tournaments are regularly held there. At the entrance to the castle, guests are greeted by the owner and hostess. They invite tourists to become spectators and even participants in the fight between brave knights, ready to fight for the favor of the beautiful Donna.

Hotels in Adeje (Tenerife)

Four- and five-star hotels in the resort are located mainly on the second resort line. The main contingent of vacationers in Tenerife (Adeje is no exception) are Europeans. There are especially many British and Russians in hotels. Fortunately, young people from Foggy Albion prefer Las Americas, so you can safely stay in Adeje hotels with children without fear of a noisy neighborhood.

Most hotels have their own spacious swimming pools, including paddling pools. Some of them have green areas where it will be convenient to walk with children.

Since a significant part of the main contingent of hotel guests in Adeje are tourists from our country, there are always employees at the reception who speak Russian. This facilitates communication and eliminates misunderstandings.

Among the best hotels in the resort are usually called:

Costa Adeje Gran Hotel 5* (see information below).

  • Costa Adeje Palase 4* with hydromassage outdoor pool and spa.
  • Fanabe Sosta Sur with 2 swimming pools, nudist area and wellness centre.
  • Sol Sun Beach Apartamentos, located 2 minutes walk from the beach.

Costa Adeje Gran Hotel 5*

This hotel is considered one of the best in Tenerife. It is built in the traditional Canarian style in the shape of the letter "U". Vacationers are offered cozy and spacious rooms with free WI-FI. The hotel does not have a spacious private area, but the road to the beach at a leisurely pace takes only 7 minutes.

The advantages of Costa Adeje Gran Hotel 5* also include:

  • an excellent menu that includes excellent cheeses, traditional jamon, red caviar, etc.;
  • proximity to the famous nightclub "Achaman";
  • high quality service;
  • the presence of several boutiques and shops with all the necessary little things within walking distance from the hotel.

Diving in Adeje

The ocean waters off the coast of the resort are home to more than half a thousand species of marine flora and fauna. You can get acquainted with them by visiting the diving centers of Costa Adeje. You can learn to dive there, get a certificate, rent the necessary equipment, etc.

In addition, Adeje has a modern Tenerife Top Training center, where athletes from all over the Canary archipelago train.

It stretches along the southern part of the island for more than six kilometers. The resort is a single whole, but if desired, can be divided into two parts. The first of these is the area around the Hesperia Troya Hotel. Water flows down from the mountains along a channel located near the hotel, and it is along the drainage line that the border between two sections of Costa Adeje is determined. The second part is located west of the riverbed. Thus, if you stand facing the island and your back to the ocean, it will stretch in the west.

Family holidays on the beaches of Costa Adeje

Costa Adeje is perfect for a family holiday in a relaxed atmosphere. The further you move away from the western, noisy neighbor of Playa de las Americas, the calmer it becomes. At the farthest western point of the resort, near a luxurious beach, a vacation will cost the most. It is here that the most fashionable hotels are located, including the famous Bahia Del Duque. Surely this hotel will be one of the best places where you have ever vacationed. The only problem is the number of zeros in your final score. Despite the prestige of holidays in this region, the infrastructure in the area of this hotel is quite poor. The only entertainment is Plaza Del Duque. In the absence of accessible shopping and entertainment facilities, this place will be very useful.

In the visibility zone of del Duque beach, it is easy to spot two large capes that visually separate it from the largest beach of Costa Adeje -. This place is wildly popular among tourists, and during the peak season the beach resembles the coast of Sochi during the Soviet period, when it was impossible to take a single step without hitting one of the vacationers. True, the contingent of vacationing citizens itself contrasts sharply with other beaches of this resort. As a rule, the streets are empty early and after dinner you can meet on the street, perhaps, not the most sober Englishmen or lost Russians.

Tourist infrastructure of Costa Adeje

The tourist infrastructure in Costa Adeje is quite rich and widely represented by a large number of small shops, shops and small cafes. The assortment here is purely touristic, the price range is minimal, and the product is easy to guess. It is unlikely that you will find here any exotic curiosity found only in Tenerife. And you won’t even try the real cuisine of the Canary Islands. Pay attention to the small village of La Caleta, three kilometers from Playa del Duque. There you can always buy the freshest seafood and stroll along the beautiful coastline. Here in Fanabe you will find decent fours, good options for apartments and get an excellent middle-class holiday.

Beaches of Costa Adeje

Let's move on. After Fanabe Beach, which is gigantic by local standards, the neighboring one will seem intimate and miniature. This place is famous for its cheap and very tasty cuisine, many excellent bars, as well as dozens of noisy promoters and barkers. It’s difficult to pass by and not go to each of the establishments, but it’s better to control yourself, otherwise it will be difficult to “survive” until the evening. Perhaps, pay attention to the El Faro disco, famous throughout Tenerife. Despite the fact that this is a favorite place among the Russian-speaking public, this place is quite decent. But don’t think that Puerto Colon is a high-energy, crazy and purely party place. People here, however, go to bed and do not walk around at night and sing songs. This is not a nursing home, of course, but it’s not either. In the evening there are a large number of local Frank Sinatras and Elvises on the streets and each of them will offer an unforgettable musical evening just for you.

How to get to the hotel

The soft sand of Costa Adeje ends and to get to the H10 Gran Tenerife hotel you will have to walk along a rocky section. But the path will not tire you at all, especially since you can always take a break, for example, in a very unusual restaurant located right on the cliff. Sitting at one of the tables you will be able to admire an incredibly beautiful view of the city. We sat, drank some orange juice on the way, and hit the road again. Moreover, the hotel is only a few hundred meters away, and inside Gran Tenerife there is the only casino in the southern part of the island. Hurry up before someone else hits the jackpot.

Exactly along the border of the two resorts stretches the busiest street in this area. If you see the sign “Veronikas Street”, feel free to move in the given direction. Unless, of course, you came to Tenerife to have a good time at night and wake up long after lunch. There are a lot of inexpensive apartments in the Veronicas area, which means that the area will be full of drunk, young Englishmen. A great way to improve your English, but also a great opportunity to kill your own liver.

Let's summarize a little. If you come for a relaxing, family vacation, you have a direct route to Costa Adeje; if your vacation involves a less strict program, go to. In the west of Costa Adeje you will have a luxurious holiday, but you will lose a lot of cash. Quiet, tasty, but expensive, and there’s not much to do. When staying in Fanabe, expect an excellent beach, average hotels, bustling shopping streets and quiet summer evenings. When heading to the Puerto Colon area, get ready for almost 24-hour noisy fun, British cheerful neighbors and the absence of puritanical sentiments. If you like water attractions, you will find them a little away from the coast, just off the highway. There are popular water parks and.

YACHT CLUB IN PUERTO COLON

If you are a happy owner of a yacht or are just about to take your first steps in this direction, you will not find a better place than the yacht club in the Puerto Colon area. Only one question arises: if yacht owners are really happy people, then why is there a “for sale” sign on every second yacht?

Puerto Colon has a large concentration of a wide variety of vessels: from simple pleasure boats to almost combat destroyers. In any case, people who do not understand yachts mistake fashionable floating substances for, at a minimum, warships. You don’t have to be Roman Abramovich to feel like a real owner of a house on the water. You can rent a yacht or whatever else floats, and then add a little imagination and full speed ahead. Here you can fulfill another long-time dream of yours and go sea fishing.

If the word “port” confuses you in advance, then relax. Here in Puerto Colon you won't find giant rusty barges or oil tankers. They simply won’t fit here due to their dimensions. This is a small bay designed for medium-sized swimming units. All of them are environmentally friendly and do not harm their owners, tourists and the surrounding southern nature. Moreover, they perfectly complement the local landscape and serve as an additional decoration of the landscape.

Holidays in Costa Adeje will delight tourists with the azure sea, beautiful landscapes, excellent restaurants and bars with local and foreign cuisine. For lovers of surfing, diving and sailing, there are many places to rent equipment.

Beaches of Costa Adeje

All resort beaches are covered with fine gray sand and almost all have sun loungers, umbrellas, sun loungers, toilets, and showers. Most of the services are paid. The beaches are regularly cleaned, so some of them have Blue Flag quality status - the highest rating.

Playa del Duque. The beach is famous for the Bahia del Duque Hotel. Very beautiful, expensive, but there is almost no infrastructure.

Playa Fanabe And Playa Torviscas- the largest beaches of the resort. Their length is more than a kilometer. Along their coastline there are many hotels and apartments, restaurants and small shops. There is entertainment for children.

Playa de Puerto Colon. Relatively small beach. It is located next to Fanabe beach and can offer vacationers many bars and cafes with excellent views of the sea. In the evenings, young people like to gather here; they are attracted by the local disco El Faro. There is a yacht port on this beach.

Restaurants, clubs, nightlife

The main part of the nightlife takes place in the western part of the resort, closer to the border with the resort of Las Americas. This is where most of the establishments open until late at night are concentrated. In other areas of the resort, after dark, almost all establishments close and the streets become noticeably empty.

Casino Playa de las Americas- this is a kind of local Las Vegas.

Monkey Beach Club is a very popular bar located in Las Americas on Troya Beach.

How to get to Costa Adeje

You can get from the southern and northern airports by local buses, but the most convenient option would be to order a taxi from the airport before departure (transfer) or rent a car. This is especially convenient if you are traveling with luggage or traveling with children. You can order a transfer from Tenerife Airport to Costa Adeje through this form.

If you have already been here, leave reviews about your holiday in Costa Adeje and share your impressions of your trip to Tenerife!

Those coming to Tenerife will be interested to know what the southern resort of Costa Adeje is like, located west of Las Americas and practically merged with it. Is it really comfortable to relax here? What services are provided to tourists? What to do, what to see and where to have fun besides the beach? Cast aside all doubts and hurry to be surprised, because this heavenly place is just for you!

A resort with an impeccable reputation

Logo of the Costa Adeje resort and coat of arms of the municipality of Adeje

Costa Adeje They consider it a calmer place, compared to , which is ideal for a family holiday. People of different ages and incomes come here to relax, and the most privileged and expensive part of it, next to del Duque beach(Playa del Duque), chosen by tourists who are not afraid of high prices in price lists. And this is completely justified, since the hotels here are luxurious, and the service in them, judging by the reviews of tourists, is impeccable and deserves all praise.

Over the past few years, the resort town has changed a lot thanks to the large number of hotel complexes built (the hotels are almost all new and built in recent decades), the rapid development of infrastructure and level of service. This, without a doubt, attracts tourists from Europe who want to enjoy not only the wonderful weather, but also a wide variety of leisure activities.

The absolutely clean ocean bottom deserves a special description, which, through the efforts of ecologists and diving enthusiasts, acquired its current appearance with emerald, crystal clear waters. Beauty - you can't take your eyes off it!

We have already written that many beaches in Costa Adeje were covered with tons of white African sand, so that the coastal zone would delight with its pleasant shade. So, the territories continue to be developed and improved even more, giving the resort not only a stunning view, but also an impeccable reputation as the most wonderful place to relax.

Quiet and not boring area

If you trace the administrative boundaries of the resort on the map, it is adjacent to Las Americas along the canal bed in the Barranco del Rey gorge in the southern part, and on the opposite side it ends in the La Caleta area, which is located in the same municipality.

View of the Costa Adeje, del Duque beach

You, as a tourist, may have the highest demands, but the service that Costa Adeje provides is unlikely to disappoint you. The resort itself is noticeable calmer than its nearest neighbor and is more suitable for family holidays. Vacationers have a large selection of four- and five-star hotels with cozy rooms, budget apartments, cafes, bars and restaurants, cozy public parks with luxurious fragrant vegetation, playgrounds, sports facilities and spa centers.

Beach holiday

You can sunbathe on the light sand and splash around in warm, clear water with a turquoise tint on one of the equipped beaches. Those marked with a blue flag have gained particular popularity. Playa del Duque(Playa del Duque) and Fanabe/Torviscas(Fanabe/Torviscas) and also Playa de Troya(Playa de Troya). You can read more in the article "". All of them continuously stretch one after another at a distance of six kilometers, only occasionally separated by rocky ledges. The service is very diverse - from rental of watercraft and sun loungers with umbrellas, to more serious equipment for underwater fun.

Even a walk will be enjoyable

During the day you can calmly bask in the sun and splash in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, but in the evening it’s time for walks along the embankment. Also, on the territory of the resort, there are public parks and squares with amazing plants, where you can not only walk during the day or evening, but also go for morning jogging.

Embankment with benches for tourists to relax

Entertainment at the resort

Those who come here for adrenaline and water activities can enjoy diving, sailing or paragliding m (the latter fly directly over the resort, and their landing site is located next door in La Caleta). You can also go water skiing or rent a catamaran, Water bike or motor boat– and go ahead for impressions.

The resort is conveniently located near the main entertainment places southern part of the island (water parks and, and, as well as all the entertainment of Neighboring Las Americas), and numerous excursion bureaus will be happy to take you to any Tenerife attractions( , and others).

Nearby there is a wonderful field for professional playing golf, where the unique topography of the island is used along with natural landscapes that delight the eye. Almost every hotel has a minimum of sports infrastructure in the form of a swimming pool and a gym, and the largest ones even have their own tennis courts.

In the central part of the resort coast there is a port for pleasure boats - Puerto Colon. Snow-white yachts and boats are moored here, ready at any moment to give you an unforgettable trip across the ocean or to the neighboring island of La Gomera, where you can see dolphins and even whales frolicking in the water.

Meals at the resort

There is definitely no shortage of establishments. The Bahia del Duque hotel alone has eight bars and nine restaurants with excellent cuisine and excellent service. They are open to the public, but prices are far from the lowest. Fortunately, there are cafes and restaurants for every taste and color - the bulk are concentrated along the embankment and the main hiking routes. In terms of cuisine and the theme of the establishments, everything is as usual, most of them are motley establishments with different cuisines and an emphasis on reaching the maximum number of tourists, but there are also large restaurants, barbecues or sushi bars.

For shopping lovers

And you will find something to do here, although the choice here is not so large. In several shopping centers in Costa Adeje you can buy both branded items and clothes from little-known brands. For example, in Plaza del Duque- a shopping center built on a large scale, you are offered all kinds of goods from world brands and Spanish manufacturers of clothing and accessories. In fact, this is the largest shopping center in the area. In addition to it, several smaller shopping complexes are scattered around the resort, and opposite the commercial center El Duque(El Duque, not to be confused with the one mentioned above!) On Thursdays and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 there is a local market (mainly things and souvenirs).

Tents with goods at the market in Costa Adeje

Throughout Costa Adeje there are many shops with cheap things in huge quantities, they are, as usual, located closer to the beaches and crowded places. It’s quite possible to buy sandals or a sundress to replace a torn one, but I wouldn’t take such gifts home; it’s better to save space in your suitcase for something more worthwhile.

Anyway, shopping- this is a pleasant activity, if only because we all, one way or another, sometimes like to just gawk at the product on offer, even if we do not intend to purchase it.

Night life

If you wish, you will always find a place to have fun, although it may seem that there is no place to “hang out” at all in Costa Adeje. Club El Faro or Kaluna Beach Club, located between the port and Fanabe beach, are essentially the only similar establishments nearby. In general, it is better to look for nightclubs, bars and discos with good music and fun, dancing and parties in nearby Las Americas, but if you are not a big fan of noise, you can easily find somewhere to while away the evening listening to live music, karaoke or a sports match, closer to the hotel.

For lovers of gambling and random winnings, the H10 Gran Tenerife hotel has the only casino.

When they mention Costa Adeje, the word “most” is often used: the most important resort, the cleanest coastline, the most luxurious hotels, the most delicious dishes, etc. It seems to me that this is a worthy assessment of a resort that is visited by a huge number of vacationers every year.

It was here that I visited back in 2010, when I first visited the island of Tenerife, and it was after this visit that I wanted to move here =) During the day there were beaches and excursions, and in the evening either a relaxing dinner in restaurants nearby, or noisy parties and parties in, taxi to which costs only 10–12 euros.

And, finally, a beautiful video about this resort and its capabilities (it’s better to watch in full screen).
