The A3 and B3 highways lead from the city to the resort of Ayia Napa. The distance from Larnaca to Ayia Napa is 50 km. Travel time by car to Ayia Napa is 40 minutes. The total travel time from the airport to Ayia Napa is about 1 hour, which is much faster than taking the bus to Ayia Napa.

If you choose a bus as a means of transportation, you can save a lot. However, there are no direct flights from the airport to Ayia Napa, so you will need to make a transfer in the city center of Larnaca. First you need to take a bus that departs to Larnaca; there are quite a lot of routes, especially on weekdays (their number is reduced on weekends), but the last flight leaves around 23:00.
To find a stop, you need to go up to the second floor (the departure area is located here), go outside, turn left and walk about 15 meters. Tickets are sold from the driver, their cost is 1-1.5 €. You need to get off in Larnaca at the stop, which is located on the Finikoudes embankment; the journey will take from 15 to 30 minutes. You can ask the driver to tell you exactly where to get off; he will definitely announce the stop.
Further from Finikoudes to Ayia Napa you can take bus number 711 for 1.5 €. But they run very rarely, and the journey will take 1.5 hours, so the preferable option is an intercity bus from the Intercity company. The frequency of their movement is 1-1.5 hours, they work from 6 am to 20-30. A one-way ticket will cost 4€ (if you buy a round-trip ticket, its price will be 7€).
Intercity buses are easily recognizable by their green color; the stop is also marked with a sign of the same color. In Ayia Napa, transport drops off passengers in three places: near the Marina Hotel, the Church of St. Thekla Agias Theklas and at the Fun fair Bus Stop (near the water park). The journey will take about 50 minutes.
Taxi
If you are arriving in Larnaca on an overnight flight, the bus option is not suitable. In this case, it is more convenient to order a private transfer or taxi. The taxi rank at Larnaca Airport is located a few meters on the right hand side of the terminal exit. There are always a lot of cars here waiting for their passengers.
There are no simple taxis in Cyprus, although all taxis are private, but they are licensed. Cars must be painted black or white and have a “beacon” on the roof. Taxis travel by meter, the minimum transfer Larnaca - Ayia Napa will cost 60 €, but at night the rates are 1.5 times higher (from 20-30 to 6-00), you will also have to pay an additional 1.2 € for luggage if its weight will exceed 12 kg. Vehicle parking is also located near the terminal. You can book a car in advance, then you won’t have to waste time looking for it after your arrival.
The rental price starts from 40 €, some companies may additionally charge an additional fee for a young driver (from 18 to 25 years old), you will also have to pay a deposit of about 200-300 €, which will be returned later. Gasoline costs will be 6-8€, the car is received and returned with a full tank. But you should definitely soberly assess your experience and strength, since traffic on the island is on the left.
