Dikson Airport is located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, not far from the urban village of Dikson, and is a branch of the KrasAvia State Enterprise. Its construction began back in the 30s, during active exploration of the northern latitudes. The purpose of the creation was to organize a community between the village and other regions.
The airport suspended operations in the fall of 2010 because its concrete runway was in poor condition. In December of the same year, all the faults were eliminated, so it began accepting flights again.
Today, this small civil airport has at its disposal one runway with dimensions of 1500 x 20 m, with which it serves all types of helicopters, as well as small aircraft of the Yak-40, An (24, 26, 32.74) brands, which perform charter cargo and regular passenger flights. In addition, it allows you to carry out expeditions related to the exploration of latitudes and the protection of state borders.
