A complete holiday for the whole family is Gran Beach in Tossa de Mar. The beach is not very large; on one side it is bordered by a rugged rocky section of the coast, on the other by the medieval fortified town of Vila Vella. In the Middle Ages, the castle was intended to protect against pirates. Tourists enjoy going on excursions around the fortress. The castle is surrounded by high walls and seven crenellated towers, which have remained almost untouched since their construction.
While walking along the promenade along the beach, you can also see several art monuments: a statue of Minerva, a sculpture of Bonavenur Anson and a memorial stone dedicated to the Catalan writer Jacinta Verdaier.
Beaches of Lloret de Mar

Beaches of Tossa de Mar

The city has three large sandy beaches: Mar Grand, Mar Menuda, El Kolodar, which stretch along the sea for 14 kilometers. During the “hot” season, many vacationers gather here, so for privacy you can go by boat to quiet bays. On the shores of the beaches you can rent sun loungers, umbrellas, boats and pedalos, and there are bars and restaurants.
Fenals Beach
Fenals is a beach known to all lovers of seaside holidays in Spain. The beach is almost always filled with vacationers who want to enjoy the gentle sun and velvet sea, but compared to neighboring beaches it is less noisy.

The best beaches of the Costa Brava
On the Costa Brava - which is no less than 200 km - you can find a beach to suit every taste.
The beaches of Bagur are considered an excellent place where you can relax with the whole family. Finding yourself on this part of the coast, you will feel like the hero of a postcard - everything here is so bright and colorful.
Portichol Beach is located in a fairly busy place. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and hotels here. The largest sandy beach on the coast is Sant Pere Pescador.

On the beaches of Cadaques, the shores are rocky and not entirely suitable for a beach holiday. But they are known for their marvelous nature, which Salvador Dali admired.
Montjoi Bay is famous for its gray sand, moderate wind and not too hot weather.
La Boadella is one of the remote beaches in Lloret. The city is always noisy with a large number of tourists, but it is quiet and peaceful here.

Fishy Palamos
If you want to attend a fish auction or dream of delicious dishes made from fresh seafood, then you definitely need to visit Palamos in Spain. This is where real gourmets come. In the morning and afternoon they take part in a fish auction, and in the evening they tour local restaurants. Fresh fish, a minimum of sauces and spices and, of course, excellent food, which emphasizes the taste of the prepared dish - this is a must-try!
Beer festival, Castell d'Aro or beautiful pearl jewelry - all this can be seen in the wonderful city of Playa d'Aro in Spain. 
The embankment is considered the busiest place in this resort. On the way to the beach, you can stop by one of the many cafes and enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee. There are also many shops and souvenir shops - believe me, you will not leave there empty-handed.

Cozy and hospitable Sant Feliu de Guixols
The amazing town of Sant Feliu de Guixols is hidden from prying eyes in a small bay. This place is considered an excellent place for reflection, leisurely walks on a bicycle or on a yacht.
You can walk around this town in just a couple of hours. During your walk, you will definitely see the Church of Sant Grau, built in the Gothic style, find yourself in the market square, visit the old quarter with its mansions, and even conquer Mount Sant Elmo, taking a couple of excellent pictures of the city and its surroundings. Local residents are especially proud of their casino - after all, it was opened at the end of the 19th century and it is still operating. 
There are good hotels in the city where you can rent a modest single room or luxury apartments. And, of course, stunning beaches - comfortable city beaches or wild and secluded ones.
No matter where you find yourself on the Costa Brava, you will always be greeted by friendly and hospitable locals. In addition, you can always taste unique dishes of local cuisine, enjoy amazing nature and swim in the clean, warm sea. What could be better?
There are a sufficient number of resorts on the Costa Brava, each of which has a unique nature and luxurious beaches. Much will depend on which resort you choose for your vacation. I adhere to the point of view that first you need to choose a resort, and only then the beach.
From the point of view of a beach holiday, a resort like Lloret de Mar, where the beach of the same name is located, attracts attention. This is a sandy beach, 1.5 kilometers long. The place is very lively and popular both among the Spaniards themselves and among tourists who come here on vacation. There is a lot of all kinds of entertainment concentrated on the beach. You can rent a yacht and go on a boat trip. There is a promenade nearby with many bars and restaurants. The entrance to the water is quite flat, which is great for people who are poor swimmers. You will have to pay about 10 euros to rent an umbrella and a sun lounger, but you can sunbathe on a mat and not pay for additional amenities.
At the same resort there is another beach - “Fenals”, which is considered the second largest in the city, but in terms of cleanliness and level of comfort it is in no way inferior to the Central Beach. The fact that this beach has been awarded the Blue Flag speaks volumes. There are small shells and pebbles on the beach, the water is clean, but some inconvenience can be caused by the fact that the shore is steep and the depth comes quickly (after about 2-3 meters). But this beach will appeal to those who like a relaxing holiday, since there are not as many noisy parties and vacationers here as on the Central Beach.
If you are planning to stay in Blanes, then the three-kilometer beach of Sa Abanel, which is the center of life of the entire resort, attracts attention at this resort. The beach has clean, golden sand, you can rent an umbrella, a sun lounger, ride water slides, play volleyball, or sit in one of the coastal cafes. One of the disadvantages is the fact that jellyfish are possible in the summer months.
Another Blanes beach that is worth paying attention to is called Santa Anna. It differs from other beaches in the resort in its small size (its length is only 75 meters) and in that it is always sparsely crowded. This is a sandy beach with no entertainment other than renting a boat or speedboat. There are practically no waves in this place. The only drawback is the German tourists who come here to sunbathe topless.
Not only for a beach holiday, but also for beautiful views, you should go to the Roses resort. Five kilometers from this resort is one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava - Almadrava beach. This beach with fine golden sand is located in a bay, which is reliably protected from the winds. For its developed infrastructure and cleanliness, the beach has been repeatedly awarded the Blue Flag. The beach borders the Cape Creus nature reserve and offers simply stunning views. On the beach there are several cafes, boat and bicycle rentals, and if you wish, you can try your hand at diving and windsurfing.
For a relaxing family holiday, one of the best places is La Perola Beach, which is fenced off on one side by a breakwater and on the other by a port. Waves are extremely rare for this beach. The sand is soft, and the water is so clear that even at great depths you can see the bottom and passing fish. The presence of the Blue Flag on the beach speaks for itself.
I have already exhibited photographs from different parts of the Costa Brava - villages, bays, capes. Today my post is dedicated to a very beautiful part of the coast that runs from Tossa de Mar to Gischolc. Of course, the places I visited are not exhaustive; there are many other beautiful places to visit on the Costa Brava.
This scenic road runs from Tossa along the coast. When you drive, it seems that there is probably no road, somehow it is narrow compared to other Spanish highways and motorways. Before that, we tried to drive onto it several times, but turned back, thinking that the road ended there. But when we set the route to Gischolc on the navigator, one of the road options was along the coast. Of course longer, but what types. It's absolutely breathtaking.
So, our first stop was overlooking Tossa and its bay.

Another beautiful bay along the coast of Cala Bona. It's impossible to get to her. They leave their cars near the sign with the name of the bay on the road and walk down to the bay through the pine forest.
It’s impossible to see the entire bay, the pine trees block the view, I think the most beautiful landscape opens from the sea.
Here I already went to the beach, but this is a very loud name - there is a small piece of sandy sunset, but there is no beach with sun loungers. People sunbathe on the rocks. And the small sushi container that could be used was used as a cafe.
But there are very few people here, it is picturesque and calm. The water still shimmers beautifully in different shades, and the pine trees intoxicate with their aroma.

We leave Cala Bona and approach Cala Giverola. This is a very popular bay among vacationers; it is located in a very picturesque place surrounded by high mountains. Tourists are taken here by minivan from the Tossa bus station, as well as by boat. The beach is small and crowded with people during the day. I would come here only once to get acquainted. We decided not to go down to the bay and swim in another place.
The beach is divided into areas for swimming and areas for boats and catamarans.
The bottom is sandy and rocky, and the water is still incomparable. On the beach itself there are many palm trees, there is a bar, a restaurant, a swimming pool with slides, in general, everything that vacationers need.
And this is the rocky side of Giverola Bay.
I don't know the name of this beach. It is located on the left side of Giverola, and there is no direct descent from the road to it. You need to go under the “no entry” sign, go down about 500 m, and near private property you can see a steep flight of stairs down. You’ll never guess that there might be a descent here.
We didn't go down, we just took pictures.

And this is the bay that we liked, where we came several times - Cala Salionc.
The beach is pleasant sandy, the bottom is sandy and rocky. This is a local urbanization area, and entry for tourists is supposedly prohibited. But we were lucky and the barrier was raised. We easily found a parking spot and walked down to the beach. You can count the people here on your fingers. There is a bar and a restaurant. There are fishing boats on the shore, and fishermen play cards in a cafe. Spanish life moves slowly here. Everyone immediately saw that we were strangers, we were not allowed to enter the locker rooms/toilets without a club card, and we enjoyed the beach and sea to our fullest.

We are getting closer and closer to Gischolc and arrived again at the urbanization, the first time we drove in without problems, but the second time the barrier was lowered and we asked for 5 euros per day.
These are two beaches 10 km from Guixols - Platja dels Canyerets and Platja de Canyet.
The larger Canyeret beach is incredible, I’m just in love with it. The entry into the sea is gentle, soft sand, there are no stones at the bottom, and there are very few people. The water here is incredibly clear, crystal clear and only reflects the color of the sky.
Costa Brava is gorgeous. I repeat, I would never have thought before when choosing places to travel how beautiful the Costa Brava is.
I didn’t take pictures of Gischolc Beach, although we were there twice and for quite a long time. But take my word for it - the beach is wide with a convenient entry into the sea, probably the most convenient of all that we have encountered. The length of the beach is about 500 m, the beach has been awarded the Blue Flag. There is parking right next to the beach, 40 cents per hour, and the longer, the cheaper, probably the cheapest parking we have seen on Costa, the time from 14 to 16 hours is not paid. The locals told us this.
