Like many of us, I never thought that I would find myself in such a situation, but... Tour operator Natalie Tours in the summer of 2018 strangled my vacation at the root! I was left without vacation and without money, and with a very vague hope of getting at least something back.

We planned our vacation half a year in advance, chose a country, a city we had visited more than once, made a travel plan and, of course, a tour operator, which turned out to be Natalie Tours. We had a long relationship with this operator, we definitely used their services 5 times, there weren’t any problems at all, but the problems were solvable and they were resolved, I always understood that mass tourism is a troublesome business, operators need to be in everything at the same time places at once and have access to rapidly changing information. There were never any problems with registration in Moscow; once there were problems in the host country, but as I already said, they were solved. And then July 2018 happened.

Start. How Natalie Tours deceived tourists.

At the beginning of July, my family and I were supposed to leave for Spain to our beloved Costa Blanca, but two days before departure I accidentally found out that Natalie was having some problems. I go online and my hair stands on end. It turns out that the tour operator Natalie Tours is unilaterally canceling all charter flights from June 30, our tourists are not being accommodated in hotels overseas, they are being thrown out into the street in the middle of their vacation, removed from planes, and the host party in Spain "World2Meet" has already terminated the contract with Natalie Tours. I have the whole package of documents in my hands, a fully paid trip, God knows when, but my tickets are for a regular Aeroflot flight, not a charter, so maybe there’s still a chance?

In a fit of panic, I called Aeroflot - our tickets are valid. I called my travel agent, in the voice of a tipsy Aunt Rose from Odessa, and asked - why are you silent, what’s wrong with my tour? The news is already ringing that everything is bad for Natalie.

The travel agent answers me:

There is no cancellation yet, there is nothing to talk about yet.

For a moment, the day after tomorrow at 11 am I have to fly away. I hastily write an email to the host in Spain and to our hotel, asking for this and that, tell me, good people, Spanish people, what’s going on with my reservation. I wait with bated breath for an answer.

A day before departure, at 9 am, my travel agent calls and reports that the tour operator Natalie Tours has canceled ground service for our tour package (hotel, transfer, insurance), only tickets for a regular flight remain. This is the paper they gave me.

And on July 4, official, publicly available information was released on the website of the tour operator Natalie Tours that all orders were cancelled. What to do?


Emails arrive from Spain, the first office, the host of "World2Meet" sent me to politely and straightforwardly resolve issues with the Tour Operator, and the second, the hotel, politely informed that the host had canceled the reservation from the hotel and they were no longer waiting for us there.

In a wild panic, we rush to the travel agency to resolve issues on the spot. We are informed that they can only refund us the cost of ground handling because... The air tickets are valid and we have already received our visas. We decided to pay for the hotel again, but now is the high season - July and the prices are no longer the same as when booking early in February, they have increased significantly. After thinking hard, we decided that we would take the hotel for the amount that Natalie Tour expects to return to us for the canceled ground service. The travel agency offered a 3* hotel for this money instead of our previously paid 4* and no transfer, and for a minute this is about 5 thousand in ruble equivalent from the airport to the hotel one way, I don’t know how it works for anyone, but there are people in the world , for whom 10 thousand rubles is money, and if people had a budget tour, then this amount is noticeable, and in chats the injured tourists named amounts much higher and their indignation is quite understandable.

As a result, we already need to take with us an amount that is much higher than what was originally expected - paying for the hotel again at the price of the high holiday season, transfer and a decent amount for expenses there since there were a lot of plans.

We decided to write a request for a refund for ground handling to Natalie Tours, they promised us that the money would be returned in about a month... yeah... yeah, but we almost believed it. We leave a reservation for a modest 3* hotel from another tour operator and go home to wait for its confirmation.

Arriving home, I rush to monitor the hotel that was offered to us and am left in a precipitate - the hotel, which in the pictures from the travel agent seemed like a small refuge for a family with a modest income, in reality turns out to be a dirty, stinking almshouse, with window sills covered in seagulls, with windows looking out onto a courtyard-well. , with moldy air conditioning and food that even a starving Zimbabwean would not envy. It turns out that a vacation in such a hole will cost us the total price of a luxury hotel, but no one has returned the money to us yet and it is not yet clear whether they will return it.

I call the agent and cancel the reservation. We're not flying anywhere.

How does a tourist feel who, a day before departure, finds out that the paid trip will not happen? The wildest disappointment and resentment, and also confusion, because no one knows what to do and what to do in such a situation. At night I heard my daughter crying, who had been dreaming about the trip since January, made a list of important “Spanish things to do”, thought about what she would bring for her family, how we would all eat delicious Spanish ice cream and swim in the sea together, how we would go to a water park and amusement park Let's visit beautiful places. My friends, I’m now going to voice a terrible thing - at that moment I wanted to grind the owners of Natalie Tours, a millionaire family with a bird’s name, into dust with my own hands. My child, who underwent an operation in June, not even a month has passed since it, is now lying in his crib and crying with resentment, because someone who has untold wealth in his bosom, villas in Spain, cool cars costing as much as a small town’s salary for year, now I wanted to go to the toilet with diamonds at the expense of ordinary people who have children and families!

In the evening, on the day of our departure that never happened, I receive an email from the travel agent informing me that Natalie Tours is now canceling regular flights and if we want to keep our tickets, we must notify the travel agent in the next two days, otherwise we will have tickets will not be. How would I know about this if I was abroad? That is, we would not have been able to fly back to Russia; Tourist Assistance would have taken us out.

It turned out that Natalie Tours simply has huge debts to foreign partners, several thousand tourists who have suffered from the actions of this office, some of whom are currently abroad, are fighting with hoteliers so that they are not thrown out to live under a palm tree in the middle of their vacation. You need to file a claim for a full refund, and this is where the fun begins.

For those who are not in the know, let me explain that a travel agent and a tour operator are not the same thing. Your tour package of services is created for you by a tour operator, in our case it is Natalie Tours, and a travel agent is just an agency that sells packages of tour operator services for which it takes a commission. According to the law, the travel agent does not bear any responsibility for what happened, so it is unrealistic to demand anything from him other than his commission, but this commission, as a rule, is a drop in the ocean of the cost of the entire tour package.

We are going to the travel agency to file a claim for a full refund. The travel agent must transfer it to Tour Operator Natalie Tour as soon as possible, because Natalie is given only 10 days to think about it, in which they must give an answer, but the Travel Agent is in no hurry, no one is urgently taking our claim anywhere, they sit in their office on their butts and wait for a great many of these claims to accumulate, it is clear that we , like many others, this situation is not satisfactory, we want our money back.

At the same time, I learn that journalists organized a meeting for tourists with someone from the management of Natalie Tours at the central office of Natalie Tours on Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya.

I rush to the central office of Natalie Tours at the appointed time, we are already very late and terribly worried. I would like to ask questions about when payments to injured tourists will begin and submit claims directly at the office.

Having swallowed the lump in my throat, I turn towards the metro, gathering my resolve to go to the indicated address, which is near the Paveletskaya metro station, and this is not exactly a low beam. Then a very nice young man comes up to me, introduces himself as a journalist from the Moscow 24 channel and tells me and a couple of other tourists not to rush to leave, now they will try to break through and help us get inside. Another man and a couple of girls are hesitantly stomping around nearby, we all return back.

We entered the tiny hall of the building and everything began so quickly that I didn’t even immediately realize that it was an assault - one of the journalists grabbed the turnstile, fixed it and commanded the tourists who were already standing in the hall in front of us to squeeze inside. A round-sized security guard presses from behind and yells that there is no entry for journalists. The journalist politely but firmly pushes the guard, commands the cameramen to film, and the tourists to run to the elevators, having climbed over the turnstile, simultaneously pouring on the guard all sorts of justifications for both his visit and the legality of the filming, remember Lena Letuchaya? Having made our way inside, we rushed to the elevator, on which the first group of tourists who had broken through was already rushing up to the 8th floor; someone hurried to the stairs and briskly jumped over the steps. The atmosphere in the office is calm, people are crying, everyone is writing applications for refunds, the employees are tense, but calm, they really only accept applications from people every now and then. When the journalists tried to go inside, a stooped gentleman in a white blouse jumped out like a jack-in-the-box and ordered them to get out in a commanding voice.

Journalists, hardened people, shouted loudly and in a deep voice in the best traditions of the Flying Helen, that services were being provided to the population here, they made their way into the office. To file a claim for a full refund, you must also bring a package of documents confirming the purchase, payment for the tour, and also, ATTENTION - a request for a refund from the travel agent through whom you purchased the tour, in our case it is “Quadra Tour”. Without such a request, they refused to accept a claim from a tourist; according to the explanations of Natalie Tours employees, they make refunds only to the accounts of the travel agents from which they came, and according to the new regulations, they do not accept claims from tourists without such requests from travel agents, and if they do accept, then work is not allowed - a new internal resolution of the management of Natalie Tours! How do you like this?

As a result, I had to rush back to my travel agency and ask for such a request to be issued in person, I had to fight, because they were in no hurry to give it to me, they wanted to send such a request themselves, but did not specify a time frame. It’s clear that they are in no hurry; it was not they who lost a decent amount of money, but me. Having asked for the document, I took it back to Natalie Tours’ office, having previously agreed with the employee of the claims department to be allowed inside.

So, instead of resting, I now wander around offices, beg for papers, and after the time allotted for pre-trial proceedings has expired, I prepare a claim in court. The vacation was a success!

If you have suffered from the actions of a tour operator and have not yet/already flown anywhere, you need to:

2.Attach a copy of the contract and receipts confirming the fact of payment to the claim

3 Attach a copy of the passport of the tourist who paid for the tour package

4. Attach a request from the tour operator for a refund (if you took the tour package through a travel agent), if you took it online or directly, then such a request is not necessary.

Next, you take all this to Natalie’s central office and hand it over with a note about who accepted this claim from you and on what date. You are waiting 10 days for a response. You can send this entire package of documents by registered mail with notification and inventory, this is important.

If you still haven’t received a response or your claim has been rejected:

1. We collect all the documents again, attach the pre-trial claim and copies of postal notifications about its dispatch and file a claim in court.

Important: without a pre-trial claim, not a single court will accept your claim, since you are obliged to first try to settle the case peacefully.

2. Now in the chats of injured tourists, as well as on social networks, there are a lot of unclean-minded lawyers and lawyers grazing, promising to win the case for you and 100% return your money. Of course, it’s up to you whether to hire a lawyer or not, but winning the trial does not mean getting all the money. In this case, it is not difficult to win the court, if you have all the documents on hand, the difficulty lies in the execution of the court decision, that is, with the return of money that simply does not exist. But the lawyer will not work for free, and will not tell you about the difficulties in enforcing the decision, nor will he tell you that the trial is a long matter, it may drag on for a year, i.e. Is the game worth the candle?

3. You shouldn’t be afraid of legal expenses because a claim for the protection of consumer rights, and we are consumers, is not subject to state fees, that is, it is free for us to sue. A tourist can file a claim for the protection of consumer rights in any court - at the place of his registration or at the place of registration of the defendant.

But what about the fact, what should tourists deceived by Natalie Tours expect??

Don’t forget that there are still debts to foreign companies, and there are debts for exorbitant amounts. That is, we have practically no chance of getting our money back.

At the moment, the director, Natalie Tours, is dragging out the situation and is in no hurry to declare the company bankrupt, so we cannot file a claim with the insurance company. SPAO "Ingosstrakh" will not start paying tourists while Natalie is staying afloat, and they pretend that they are holding on. The insurance was valid until August 15. 2018, it was extended for another year.

A representative of the tour operator says that they plan to return to their activities in October. Good gentlemen, who will agree to work with you after this? Now travel agents are hastily changing their signs so as not to associate themselves with the would-be tour operator. Is there such an idiot who would bring money for his tour here? Our travel agent also hastily changed his shoes, quickly, within one day.

The company's management offers to wait for compensation, the exact terms of which are not given, the client register has not been made public, or they offer to accept a letter of guarantee in which tourists are promised a vacation in 2019-20 for the amount already paid. Question: How are such guarantees backed up?

Natalie’s manager loudly announced that 800 thousand rubles had already been allocated to pay tourists. Mr. “Ptitsyn”, don’t you know that an average tour in Spain costs about 100-250 thousand per family and 800 thousand is simply a ridiculous amount for payments. During the time that my family and I were wandering around and figuring out what to present where and to whom, I had the opportunity to communicate with tourists who paid for tours worth 200-400-500-800 thousand to the Maldives and Europe.


So, upon arrival in a foreign country, people also had to pay extra money again for the hotel so that they would not be thrown out onto the street and settled in, and this is a lot of money, people got into debt, for some, the vacation turned out to be brilliant.

This whole situation has spoiled a lot of my nerves and it’s hard to say how much more it will spoil and it’s scary to think about it. It is quite obvious that Natalie is dragging out the situation and is trying to get out of it so that she doesn’t part with the money herself, doesn’t give anything to the tourists, and doesn’t substitute the insurance company for such payments.

We have courts, complaints, claims and endless appeals ahead of us, and what is most disgusting in this story is that we all now understand that we, a huge number of people, in front of the whole country, were cheated out of a very large sum and no one wants to do anything. The government has taken control of the situation, but we all remember the old statement of its current head

No money, but you hold on

What do we get from this control? The Federal Tourism Agency is sitting on its hands; Tourist assistance to those who did not fly out and were left without a vacation does not help, this is not within its competence. Who should I contact? Our state has no levers of pressure on such unfortunate entrepreneurs; no one will force the rich couple of Natalie’s owners to pay creditors from their personal wallets.

There is very little information on TV, because in fact the federal channels have nothing to tell about what is being done, how people are being deceived in batches, and other than “under control” we have nothing more to say, and there is no point in pouring from empty to empty, just like the situation with Neva-Tour was rinsed, so what? Anyone who suffered from the Neva, please respond, did you get anything back? As far as I know, no. There will be no trial of the owners of the tour kennel and no one will even go to prison for this fraud on a particularly large scale.

We are all different and we all have our own reasons and circumstances. In this situation, it is not the tourists who entrusted their money and vacations to the tour operator who are to blame, but the large, old and once reliable Tour Operator Natalie Tours. The point here is not the gullibility of tourists, but the reputation that Natalie had, oh-so-good, and many years of successful work behind her.

This is especially offensive for my child. For half a year we planned our vacation, dreamed of how we would show our child another country, and now we will show the child the court, the showdown with Natalie and our frayed nerves.

Travel agency "Quadra Tour" also known as "Quadra-Best", through which we purchased the tourist product, took an extremely curious position in this story, I turned to them for a refund of the agent’s fee, which is 10% of the cost of my tour, you can read what came out of this.

What is happening with Natalie Tours and the tourists they deceived in September-October-November 2018:

September 3, 2018 The Federal Tourism Agency announced the exclusion of Natalie Tours and all its legal entities from the register of tour operators, thereby opening up the opportunity for tourists to contact the insurance company SPAO Ingosstrakh. At the moment, on the insurance company’s website, there are regulations and a list of documents required to apply for insurance payment. Information about exclusion from the register appeared on the evening of September 3, but literally on September 1-2, Rostourism stated that the decision to exclude Natalie had not yet been made...

If you were hoping to receive insurance compensation, then from September 3, for 30 days, SPAO Ingosstrakh accepted documents from tourists, who did not make it in time, was late.

As you know, several legal entities are insured in Ingosstrakh, the most “lucky” tourists are AP “Natalie”, there are not many of them and the insurance should fully cover the costs, and the most difficult situation is with Panorama Tour LLC, there are a lot of tourists and there is not enough money for everyone, 50 million insurance will be divided according to the number of tourists and the cost of each tour, i.e. who will receive what will be calculated individually.

Insurance compensation payments began on October 3from SPAO "Ingosstrakh" for the debts of Natalie Tours for canceled trips. We were paid, the compensation was mere pennies, 4.9% of the cost of the tour. The money was transferred to a bank card, the details of which we left with the insurance company, about which Sberbank received an SMS notification indicating the amount and name of the payment.

Compensation will be received by those who managed to submit documents to the insurance company before October 2-3, even if the documents were accepted and your name is included in the register for payments. I know that the screening of tourists was already at the stage of submitting documents to the insurance company; it turned out that many had contracts and annexes to them drawn up incorrectly, some TAs had an incorrectly drawn up contract with Natalie, some did not have enough documents. Tourists besieged the offices of travel agents with requests for the issuance of the necessary documents, assistance in their preparation, and they, in turn, brushed them off like flies - a bygone story, you won’t get any more money from them! Someone was going to sue travel agents for issuing a normal set of documents to submit to the insurance company, but what was the point?

Did you manage to return the money to the tourists deceived by Natalie Tours?

I managed to return most of the cost of the tour through the chargeback procedure, for which I thank the caring commentators and knowledgeable tourists, as well as everyone who helped in this matter.

I was unable to get anything back from Natalie Tours.

The management of Natalie Tours was in no hurry to declare itself bankrupt all summer; they promised that in October the business would be restarted and with the start of sales, money would appear to pay tourists. The company's offices, including the one mentioned in the review on Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya, are empty. The lion's share of employees were fired; a couple of people accepted refund claims.

There was information in the media that Mr. President is looking for buyers for his business and asks tourists not to heat up the atmosphere and not create a bad information background, burying the company even deeper. That is, we were cheated and we are asked to stick our noses in and remain silent, not to stir up a scandal, not to involve government agencies...brilliant!

Apparently, there are no buyers for the unfortunate company, and most likely there were none.

In August, information appeared that tourists had already been paid 3.5 million rubles under 20 contracts. Who are these people and how are these 20 so different from the rest? And most importantly, when these payments were made, because for the unfortunate 800 thousand the company’s president tore his throat in all the media, and then quietly 3.5 lemons were slobbered onto someone.

Restarting the business "Natalie Tours" or tour operator New Travelers.

Someone naively believed that Natalie would be resurrected and everyone’s money would be returned... and she was resurrected! Mister founder did not deceive us here. Meet - Tour operator New Travelers, created on the basis of the Soglasie Tourism Center(apparently the initials NT haunt the family of businessmen, so here it is again, only in the Latin alphabet NT. Well, someone wants to be immortalized in the memory of the robbed people).

From the statements made to the press by the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the former founder of Natalie Tours is listed in New Travelers only as a consultant, and even then a temporary one, and another person owns the new tour operator NT, but the fact remains that I would not want to do it again run into people who have already deceived me, but under a different guise.

Since the comments are already accusing me of slander and threatening me, I’ll write this - New Travelers didn’t rob me, oh no! According to them, they have no debts to tourists, they didn’t have time, this is a new organization, to which, by some miracle, the person through whose fault I lost my money and vacation is related, and yes, I consider it my right to say this.

October 2 - tour operator New Travelers began its work. Among the deceived tourists, there is an opinion that this was done with the money of tourists, whom the gentlemen, the owners of Natalie Tours, shamelessly robbed. Or maybe this is all a misunderstanding and a new company with a crystal reputation has appeared on the market?

The founders of "Natalie Tours" are the new Mavrodi of our time! He smiles from his personal page on the social network, gives an interview about a new start....hopes to make a profit! And she is one of the richest women in the country. I believe that the question of whether these persons have a conscience is not worth raising. I have a video of a meeting between deceived tourists and travel agents with the founder Natalie... uh, no money, but you hold on, not an ounce of regret, not a shame to look people in the eyes.

Guys, do you know where the new office’s address is? This is the office I already mentioned in Moscow on Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya 25. But of course, according to the law, thousands of tourists were robbed by Natalie Tours, Panorama Tours, AP Natalie, and other legal entities have nothing to do with it.

In general, if I see a sign for New Travelers or the Soglasie Tourism Center, I will run away without looking back, holding my wallet tightly, I don’t want to deal with someone who is in any way involved with Natalie Tours.

How is a tourist protected in our country? Nothing. The legislation is crude and sluggish, Rostourism is another parasite body that sits and does nothing, it has no mechanisms to influence the situation, about which they sent me a document, signing off on their uselessness and helplessness.

I turned everywhere, I knocked on every door, and I received an answer from the State Duma, in fact, this is a formal reply, many of us received such answers.


The prosecutor's office began checking Natasha's activities; on October 3, the media reported that a criminal case had been opened under the article Fraud against a number of officials of the tour operator. Large sums of money were accepted from clients and transferred to third party accounts. It’s hard to believe that anyone will be imprisoned or forced to answer for such deception. As a rule, we imprison people with little income, ordinary employees, but no one judges millionaires.

But the crystal-honest company is now writing threats to me in the comments.

What is the court and is there any point in it?

I filed my claim back in July, but it was only in mid-August that I learned that the court had left my claim pending on the day of registration. How can this be? Why do I find out about this only a month later? I’m not alone, almost all cases that ended up with one judge were left without progress on the day of their registration. Why? The answer is simple - the courts are overloaded and the judges are on vacation in the summer; it was necessary to somehow slow down the situation. I would be very surprised by what happened, but since I already have experience with Moscow courts, I don’t have to be surprised. We were twice refused to accept the claim and both times these refusals were appealed because... were illegal. An appeal is a time consuming process.

What's the point of suing? Natalie Tours' accounts are empty, we will win the trial, and then the writ of execution will simply be closed due to the impossibility of execution. Trial for the sake of trial? I withdrew the claim and put an end to this story for myself. I no longer have the strength or desire to do this.

I returned most of the money, drew conclusions for myself and wish the gentlemen the founders of the Natalie Group of Companies, the Natalie Tours tour operator, the Natalie AP, Panorama Tour LLC, and whatever else they come up with to call themselves or have already been named, one day they will be held accountable for everything they have done. Confidence in one’s own impunity is still punishable... so Mavrodi, at a public transport stop, ended his days as a lonely dog, and someone’s hands reached out to Berezovsky all the way to London.....

I still managed to take my child to the seaside in the summer, and at that stage it was the most important thing for me.

Honestly, I don’t know what else to add, it’s a finite comedy.

Upon arrival, the same 6 tourists, including us, were accommodated in a 3* hotel. We were a little upset, but decided to enjoy what we had. The rest of the tourists spent the whole day in negotiations with Natalie Tours on relocation to a hotel of the appropriate category. The next morning we came to a meeting with the guide Vadim and heard “in 15 minutes we are leaving for another hotel” - we were automatically moved with everyone else, without notifying us about it. To our question, “What would have happened if we hadn’t come now?”, Vadim logically answered, “But you came.” As a result, we lost exactly two days, spending them on suitcases. We (already all six tourists) turned to Vadim with a request to at least somehow apologize from the tour operator and compensate for 2 lost days. Vadim said that Natalie Tours are ready to give us a tour to the zoo worth 400 Baht in exchange for receipts that we have no claims against Natalie Tours. Quite suspicious, isn't it? No apologies/regrets were even verbally expressed. The company representative completely refused to give any contacts of his colleagues both in Thailand and in Moscow - “no one will do anything for you anyway.” Vadim’s tone and behavior horrified everyone - he used obscene words, was rude, and was insolent, waving his keychain with boxing gloves in front of us in a “bull” pose. When it became obvious to everyone that this was not only a violation of business etiquette and human treatment in general, but also smacked of lawlessness, we took out a camera. Vadim changed his tone and face even more: “I’ll break it for you now, put it away!” And then the curtain: “Russians don’t touch Russians in Thailand, but the Thais will do anything for my small fee.” Don't you think this is overkill? Realizing that there was no point in continuing the conversation with the representative of Natalie Tours in an intelligent shirt, we left to improve our vacation for the better. Of course, we did not sign any papers. This is where our communication with Vadim, thank God, ended. The holiday itself was good. On the eve of departure, on August 30, flight information should have appeared. But, of course, Natalie Tours is above this. Fortunately, we have the Internet and we found out when our flight was, but the question of transfer remained. Six poor tourists had already managed to unite and they had to call Vadim again. He responded with a standard refusal, saying that we need to call some Vera (wow, at least now he gave the contact of a colleague). It took three or more hours to reach Vera. Of course, Vera was completely out of the loop, and if it weren’t for our call, no one would have even picked us up from the hotel. In the end, we left safely. The End.
